    Proximity to the National stadium

    rating14 Sept 2024

Location - real close to the Stadium; Security - nice lock system; Receptionists - all nice, especially "Wang, Fu Qiang" 王富强 (服务非常优秀,方案彻底又有效率) very attentive, professional and efficient - helped me to get takeout order as lunch after unavailability of room service of beef noodles; deduct one star for the breakfast buffet - bus boys clear tables fast, yet the waitress/waiter not friendly as to my inquires, e.g. unavailability of coffee spoon, absence of regular size coffee cup/mug, absence of breakfast tea bags, and unsolicited table sharing. The buffet is a valid option for travellers, not a sampler representing local cuisine. The hotel use a cute robot to deliver items to the suite on demand - that was entertaining. The coffee and tea shop at the lobby is a bit pricy if you are only looking for non-branded beverage. View - I stayed at high floor and could see the entrance of the "Nest" the stadium plus a corner of the famous Concrete Nest structure - very charming in the evening. The hotel is nice for travellers who can handle a bit of mandarin.

    Good service

    rating10 Sept 2024

They are very efficient in solving problem. There's a problem with my room. Within minutes, they sent technical staff to help. Soon they found it was difficult to fix in a short time, the staff immediately arranged a room change of me. The lady is called 何佳. She is very nice and helpful. My room was upgraded to a suite! She accompanied me the whole moving process, helping carry my stuff, etc. It's a nice experience.

    Nice hotel.

    rating04 May 2022

Had a great stay at the hotel. The some of the front desk staff can speak English, and if they can't, they will try and find a staff member to help. The room was nice but the carpet was full of glitter and not sure if it was fully vacuumed. The bathroom was nice however there was a lack of hot water. The staff tried to help and got the hot water going but 2 days later, the hot water was gone again. The breakfast selection was excellent. There were some Western items but mainly a traditional Chinese breakfast. I stayed for a number of days and the chef recognized the wish for over-easy eggs and every morning he would ask if I wanted over easy eggs. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There is a bus stop in front of the hotel or the metro station is about a 30-45 min walk away. The front desk staff was very helpful in calling us a taxi as well.

    Just Okay

This hotel is certainly away from downtown. Without a car and translator it wont be a good choice. Rooms are fine - spacious and clean. Excellent views of the Bird Nest. The whole Olympic Park is within walking distance. And in the evenings the Olympic Greens is lively with people enjoying the expanse and its beautiful lights.

Was good in places but also bad

    rating01 Nov 2018

Stayed for two nights end of October. Hotel was chosen because we were going to the Beijing convention centre which was just a five minute stroll. Arrived early and was surprised when told our rooms were ready. Like most of our visit we struggled to communicate as very few members of staff spoke any English. We think we paid a £500 safety deposit, paid it but couldn’t really figure out why as the rooms were less than this. Rooms were adequate but smelt really badly of smoke, both rooms were really bad. Had no issues with quality of furnishings and bed was fine. Rooms were really hot also and I struggled to sleep because of this and had to open window during night to cool room down. My sleep quality was not good. Breakfast was ok but again struggled to communicate with staff, the chef was the only one who could speak English, waiting staff couldn’t speak English at all. All in was ok but in many areas it could improve
