Location

This hotel is less than a 5-minute walk from glitzy shopping centres such as the Focus Mall, with its Cantonese restaurants, and the cavernous New World Mall with its 5 floors of galleries. The Forbidden City (just 19 km away) will take guests back to the days of the opulent Ming Dynasty. The China International Exhibition Centre is 20 minutes’ drive away and the Beijing National Stadium is 30 minutes away by car.

Facility

The hotel has a lift and features 275 rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities.     On our final leg before returning home to New Zealand after time away in Europe and Asia. The service had at this hotel was the best we received throughout our entire trip across both continents. In particular Raymond and Melody - they went over and above what we would consider to be normal service and were exceptional. The hotel was clean and well appointed. The complimentary breakfasts were well supplied with Asian and Western cuisine and being a buffet style, our family was well set up for the day every day. The rooms were comfortable, had firm and soft pillows and large towels. Whilst the AC would only go as low as 23 degrees Celsius, the staff supplied portable units to help cool it even more as needed. The gym was one of the better ones we have used with a wide range of gear and quality gear at that. The pool was large - you need to purchase a swimming cap to use. Starbucks is next door, as is a large local eating area where locals eat to the NE. Supermarket underground of the same area. It’s a bit of a way from most tourist spots but travelling by DiDi in air conditioned vehicles for half an hour was quite relaxing and no biggie cost-wise either. DiDi and taxis pick up and drop off at the door with staff ready to assist. Possibly gushing over this a bit too much suffice to say that the service of the staff there at this hotel were exceptional and they made it so. Well done to the team and managers there - you nailed it.

    I was very pleased with my stay at the HI Beijing Focus Square. My room was clean and comfortable. I prefer a shower but the combo tub/shower wasn’t too high or difficult to navigate. Excellent breakfast buffet with an optional omelette station.

    Spacious, clean rooms and big breakfast spread. Excellent service from front desk and concierge - even helped us to the corner with our luggage after we had some trouble finding our DiDi driver. Helps that back door opens into a Starbucks. Walking distance of metro and not far from international schools. Will stay again.

    Has chosen this place due its location in Wangjing area. Spacious and comfy room, excellent views from window due to high floor rooms. Good pool (4 lanes 25 meters long). Didn’t have a chance to try breakfast. Many places to eat around.
