    Nothing to complain of

Hotel is renovating , but it doesn't bother me since I'm out during the day . My room was like brand new , very nice . 7 min walk to subway , there is a Starbucks and a 24hr convenient store within 5 min walk .

    Great location, mostly friendly staff

    rating21 Aug 2014

I booked this hotel because it's almost next to the subway station (the best way to get around Beijing). I found all the staff to be very friendly, even though most of them didn't speak any English, except the very first person who checked me in. He was brusque and dismissive, and made me feel quite unwelcome. However, every other person I met at the hotel was gracious, kind and friendly, particularly the man who did speak English who helped me with a phone call. I had booked my tickets through a travel website, and the ticket had been couriered to the hotel. I had forgotten to ask about it until I checked out. At first they couldn't find it, but they found an english-speaking staff member to understand me, then they could call the travel website, and find the ticket. I really appreciated their effort. The room was simple and met all my needs, but I had similarly-priced hotels in other cities that were much more luxurious. I kept on getting phone calls from someone offering massage ... I'm not sure if this was actual massage or "massage" and I didn't want to find out. All in all, it was a very convenient place to stay, especially with the location. When my mandarin improves I am sure the experience will be even better. In-room wifi was excellent, no problems connecting. But, as to be expected, I was not able to access most foreign sites (some foreign hotels enable me to reach websites essential to my business, but this one didn't)

    Hotel not for foreigners

    rating29 Apr 2012

The only benefit is location close to Subway, easy access to Railway stations and downtown, BUT! no one speaks English, took them 1.5 hours to register us. Furniture is a bit old, glass wall b/n bedroom and bath/WC, no view, no restaurants or coffee shops nearby, just a sign of Starbucks. Too expensive for what it offers. Staff is nice though. We would not recommend it to foreigners who do not speak Chinese or come for the first time in China. we could not open the conditioner.
