  Good hotel and perfect location

  Location is perfect, just 2 minutes walk from Wangfujing. Access to the rooms is a bit awkward. From the reception you need to take a long escalator, pass a long hallway before you reach the elevator to the guestrooms. Breakfast was very good.

  Overall - a decent hotel in a good location

  I stayed at this hotel 3 times over a 5 week trip to China. Its very central and good value as the rooms are decent size and fairly modern. Its a busy hotel though, lots of tour groups and room turn over is really high.The main positives, location, price, size of room, mostly friendly staff, good house keeping and convenience store within the building.On the house keeping they top up your water each day, change towels, make the beds etc. Its a good level of service and the staff are also very polite and happy which is nice to see.BIG shout out to Popeye on concierge and Jack. Both were very helpful and are a credit to the hotel.The staff in the Spa were also very friendly.The main negatives. The door slamming. It did get a bit tiresome after a while. The door closing mechanism is very strong and some guests just fully open the door and then let go... massive bang at 6am. Over and over.There is quite a bit of smoking in the hotel, I get it that its China and smoking is normal there but just be aware. The AC. Its very hit and miss, we had a room where it worked perfectly and then two where it really struggled.Room service. Again hit and miss. We had it a few times and some nights it was really very good, others it was verging on not edible. Its a lottery. Lastly, reception (not Concierge) could be quite difficult to deal with. They would immediately try and slow your roll if there was a problem with the "no understand" or just confused looks. Its a 5 star hotel so English is generally expected to at least a basic level. Anyway - it wasn't a big deal but just worth mentioning as it could be frustrating and I did see a couple of times other people having the same problem. They just want to check you in / out and thats it - which I get.So overall, its decent. I would actually go back without hesitation because of the decent rooms and the location. There are a few niggles, noisy and quality control on the room service is shocking but its China. If it was $300+ a night I would be upset but at sub $150 a night you cant really complain.

  Amazing Hotel, I give staff 5* service

  I had an amazing stay at Sunworld Dynasty Hotel Beijing. The location is unbeatable—right in the heart of the city and within walking distance of many major attractions. I also wanted to experience local daily life, so I used the nearby metro (just a 2-minute walk). While the map may look complex at first, it’s actually very easy to navigate—no need for taxis or ride-hailing apps.One of my favorite areas was Wangfujing Street. In the evenings, the street comes alive with locals enjoying karaoke, folk dancing, and group exercise sessions. It’s not commercialized—just people coming together for fun. I even joined in one night; it felt a bit like Zumba and was a great experience!At the hotel, every single staff member contributed to making my stay memorable. From the moment I arrived, I was warmly welcomed with genuine smiles and kind words about my journey. It wouldn’t be fair to single anyone out because everyone played their part so well.The room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and maintained daily. Our housekeeper was an absolute gem—always cheerful and kind. Even though we relied on a translator app most of the time, she made every interaction pleasant.I also enjoyed both breakfast and dinner at the hotel. The Chinese dishes were fantastic—full of flavor and variety. Western options are available, but when in Beijing, why not embrace the local cuisine?The swimming pool and spa were a real bonus, especially after a long day visiting Great Wall of China (or as it’s known locally, “the Long Wall”). It was the perfect way to relax and unwind.To all the staff at Sunworld Dynasty—thank you for such a wonderful stay. If China remains visa-free for UK travelers in 2027, I’ll definitely return, possibly adding Shanghai to my trip—and I would absolutely stay here again.On a less positive note, my final experience with the taxi arranged by the hotel was disappointing. I had been told the fare to the airport would not exceed HKD 100 and that the driver would accept Alipay. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The driver (vehicle B-DG3550) refused Alipay and demanded CNY 250, ultimately taking CNY 270 from me in a very aggressive manner. The situation escalated, and I chose not to pursue it further to avoid conflict. I only hope that the money went to something worthwhile like food for his family from the money that he literally stole from me.

  We boooked this hotel for our spring break and are very glade for our choice, the location is very close to metro station and shopping mall such as APM. It's right at the end of the famous shopping street wangfujing, and about 2 blocks away from the palace. The room we were assigned was in excellent condition, facing east side away from the street, our package come with daily breakfast and refresh of mini bar with 4 bottle of waters Breakfast was a highligh to us, it was both delicious and covered numbers of local dishes, it's a small feast for us every morning.The hotel has its own gym and swimming pool which were not crowed and nicely maintained.
