Location

This hotel is located in the northern part of the capital, next to Beijing International Convention Centre and within walking distance of the new development zone for the 2008 Olympic Games. The centre of Guomao can be reached in 15 minutes by car, whilst tourist attractions can be found 20 minutes away in Wangfujing. Shops can be found in the hotel’s immediate vicinity and the nearest train station is a 25-minute drive from the accommodation.

Facility

The hotel welcomes guests in a 17-storey building with a lift and 477 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a safe, a currency exchange service and a cash machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The hotel offers a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Charge for laundry is an extraordinary ripoff

    The hotel is fine, just don’t let them do your laundry. We had a dozen items - mainly underwear and tee shirts - and the bill came to a staggering RMB 1016 NZ$266. We could have replaced the clothing for a lot less. This is extortionate billing and when I consider the other hotels we stayed elsewhere in China where often they did our laundry free of charge, this hotel is not recommended. Also, the hotel delivered a ‘invoice’ to our room with warning that the laundry had to be paid before it would available. What a cheek. The hotel is a long, long way from the city centre and all the tourist sites so I would not recommend it.

    Great hotel. Nice service. Friendly staff. Delicious cuisine. I like it! I liked everything. No comments or complaints. I am absolutely satisfied with my stay at this hotel. I would be happy to come back again. And not far from airport. It’s very important for me! Really.

    This hotel was so comfortable and luxurious! I was concerned that I may be too far from the main sights, but it’s well located for Lama Temple and Confucsious School. The towels and robes are super comfy and breakfast caters for all tastes. English was widely spoken and staff were. Wet courteous
