    Feels only 2 star hotel. Smoking smell fills every corridor and every standard room, centralized HVAC was shut down before of the season, so you don't get air circulation. You do get a portable air purifier machine as you did complain, but it doesn't get any better, the smoking smell soaked into carpet. Will not have second chance from me.Staff is great, they will give you a hand , but I can see the management is not doing there job to bring hotel to a 4/5 star standard.

    I stayed at the Ningbo CITIC International hotel during a business trip in April 2023. Like most hotels in China, even though the hotel is officially non-smoking, this is almost entirely ignored and smoking takes place in the lobby, elevator, restaurant, rooms ect so be prepared to be surrounded by a constant smell of stale smoke. The room that I checked into for my first night had such a bad smoke smell that even with the windows open as far as they could go (which isn’t much) I woke up feeling like I had smoked half a pack of cigarettes. I went to speak to the reception staff about this and they were very helpful and changed me to a different room and provided an air purifier to improve the smell. This made a world of difference and I had a much more pleasant stay after this. The hotel is quite conveniently located with a short walk away from a big mall and about a 10 min walk from the metro station. You can also reach the high speed rail station with a short taxi ride. The hotel offers a comprehensive breakfast with mostly Chinese breakfast staples but they also have toast, eggs, pastries and a selection of fresh fruit

    We stayed here on business for a couple of nights. The rooms are a bit tired and some stains less would have been nice but on the whole it was a good experience. On a sunny day the views are nice and I can recommend a jog along the riverside which has good pavement (not always a given in China).

    The hotel is not brand new but it's very clean and well kept.What caught my attention more than others is staff courtesy. Really kind and helpful in different occasions. breakfast also surprised me for the variety of choice.if I have to find a negative aspect, it will be small bathroom in standard rooms (no experience for suite).But I reiterate: good experience! excellent location

    Think of a summer house that left from parents that you go once year. Thats what the smell in the room reminded me. Stayed 3 nights and get used to it. Check the picture to understand what i mean. View from the room was one of the best in town. Room was clean and 2nd floor has ordinary breakfast.Staff was very friendly and English speaking. Reasonable rates as well.
