    Stayed here from 19 Dec 2025 to 10 Jan 2026.Room 418:The room was consistently clean and well maintained, with fresh air every time I returned. I was always warmly greeted by Housekeeping Attendant Li Ping (利平), who showed genuine hospitality. She went the extra mile by thoughtfully topping up four additional bottles of water every day after noticing that I drink a lot of water. This truly reflects IHG’s standards, creating great hotels that guests love by observing guest preferences and delivering exceptional experiences, rather than focusing on cleaning alone.Business Center – 19th Floor:The Business Center offers printing pages and scanning services, which are very fast and convenient. When WeChat was not working, guests could borrow a thumb drive from the counter, and I did not encounter any issues throughout the printing process. The business center services team is polite, professional, and knowledgeable.Food & Beverage Dining:It would be highly appreciated if the hotel could consider offering more local vegetarian options in its dining outlets. As there are currently no vegetarian restaurants in the surrounding area of Crowne Plaza Fudan, guests often need to take a taxi or Didi to travel to more distant locations for vegetarian meals. Providing a wider variety of local vegetarian dishes would greatly enhance convenience for vegetarian guests and further elevate the overall dining experience. I was slightly disappointed that the Christmas Eve buffet did not offer dedicated vegetarian options. I appreciated the honesty of a Food & Beverage team member wearing a black blazer, he who sincerely advised that it might not be worthwhile for me to pay the buffet price given the limited vegetarian selections available. He shows the "IHG True Hospitality for Good," focused on making a positive impact on their guests, as this shows value guests and not for money. Nevertheless, he kindly encouraged me at the Tea Lounge to choose the à la carte menu rather than the Christmas Eve buffet for Vegetarian food, which I did order afterall.While I valued this transparency, having clear and sufficient vegetarian options during special dining events would greatly improve the experience for vegetarian guests and ensure better value for money.Concierge and Bell Desk Experience:Regarding vegetarian dining options and transportation arrangements, I would like to extend special thanks to the hardworking Concierge and Bell Desk team, especially Anderson, for thoughtfully introducing local vegetarian dining options and nearby shopping areas. Their assistance with taxi bookings and helpful recommendations greatly enhanced my stay and made exploring the area much more convenient.

    I really loved Crowne Plaza Hotel Fudan Shanghai. The upgraded suite met everything I need. The breakfast was good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Conveniently located across from Fudan University. The only downside was that it needed a little bit walking from public transportation.

    I have stayed at this property a number of times while visiting Fudan University next door, and the hotel is starting to show its age. There was only one restaurant open, the rooms are getting a bit tired and it was all a big glum. The swimming pool is still nice, though, and the location is super convenient if you are heading to the University.     Wonderful staff, really saved my bacon when I left my bag in the rideshare

    The staff are amazing and really saved me when I left my bag in the taxi. Basically everything that could go wrong that night did. I got in super jet lagged for work and my passport and laptop were in the bag. It was midnight and my international number made it basically impossible to contact the driver directly. The manager Hubert Li was super attentive and jumped into action when he found out. It took almost 40m to find the driver and get my stuff back. Really couldn’t have done it without him. Oh yeah, the hotel and the breakfast was great too!     It refreshes my definition of a premium/upscale hotel

    When I reserved a room in Crowne Plaza Fudan, all I was expecting was just a tidy and hygienic room for a restful sleep, which I am confident that any IHG property is more than capable of offering. However, what Crowne Plaza Fudan presented to me really surprised me.As the pictures show, the suite I stayed at is truly spacious, tidy, clean, and simple (simple in a good sense, like the Muji style). It is even a little bit stylish, I would say. I had never expected to be given such a nice room, given how reasonable the rent at Crowne Plaza Fudan was.It worths mentioning the services at Crowne Plaza Fudan. Its members all give me the impression that they are very eager to help. More particularly, Crowne Plaza Fudan has successfully convinced me that the service of an upscale hotel is not necessarily worse than the service in a luxurious hotel; the main difference is just their style - the people in Crowne Plaza Fudan are all professional and efficient but in a highly energetic way. It clearly contrasts with the "old-people luxuriousness" one can commonly find in luxurious hotels like Four Seasons and the Ritz-Carlton. When hotel groups describe their hotels as "upscale", they usually just use this term to hide the fact that their hotels are inferior to some luxurious hotels. Crowne Plaza Fudan is the first hotel I have ever encountered that can give me a feeling that it is truly an upscale hotel, instead of something inferior to luxuriousness.A super comfortable hotel with great price and exceptional service!
