The hotel is located just 10 minutes’ walk away from Shanghai International Expo Centre and approximately 5 km from the touristic centre. People’s Square is approximately 10 minutes away by public transport. Some of Pudong's recreational facilities, important business hubs and multinational manufacturing facilities can be reached with a short taxi ride. Pudong International Airport is a 30-minute drive away.

Facility

264 rooms are available to guests in a 21-storey main building and a 4-storey auxiliary building. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service, cash machine and drinks machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     No air conditioning system - rooms are like sauna.

    Per hotel policy the air conditioner is not set up for cold, making the room at 25.9C.I checked several other rooms and the temperature was the same.They refused to turn on the central AC system or to refund me the first night that was a sauna night.

We booked for subway access, but only once used since Didi couldn’t be booked for 2 taxis simultaneously and frankly doesn’t work very well. Terrible breakfast and seemed to be a 2-star hotel. Positives * Nearby line 2 on the subway (which is quite convenient)* Welcoming to Russian tourists (at least some were vacationing there)* Helpful in saying they could arrange taxi for airport, but also didn’t understand urgency of going to airport* Clean sheets* Hot shower for cold winter months Negatives* Absolutely terrible and crappy breakfast / food* Unhygienic conditions at breakfast* At least some of Breakfast staff gruff and mean* Check-in tries to nickel & dime for what you’ve paid* Front desk completely unhelpful for getting tickets, attraction passes, or mobile ordering food* Effectively a tour-bus hotel* Far away from the places to see as a tourist, but nearby a dirty McDonald’s and a 24-hr convenience store on-site* Cleaning staff leave their hair all over* Hotel Hides behind green policies to “save detergent and water” and avoid changing sheets, towels* Neither doormen nor staff to help with luggage or open doors* Get angry at customers for being customers * Uninspiring lobby* Uses outrageous photo angles to depict hotel which mislead customers * Seems to be a tour-bus hotel.     Fantastic stay. Great location next to Century park, with metro station at the door. Very convenient to go the airport. Huge room and small kitchenett, and great bathwroo. Thumbs up all the way!!!

    A Friendly, Comfortable Hotel in a beautiful central location.

    Clean, spacious, friendly. The Shanghai Dorsett is in a prime location, overlooking Century Park and near the centre of Shanghai. Easy access by Metro, bike, taxi or on foot. It has a good restaurant and is near local eateries, shops and attractions. On the 7th floor all was very quiet and comfortable and the balcony was a welcome asset. We'd like to stay there again.
