Location

Ideally situated within Pudong's Thumb Plaza - a lifestyle mall offering an excellent selection of shops, restaurants, bars and entertainment venues - this Shanghai hotel is within walking distance of Century Park and is close to the Shanghai New International Expo Center and the Bund, and offers easy access to the city's transportation system. Pudong International Airport can also be accessed easily from the accommodation.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 362 rooms located in a 20-storey main building and a 6-storey auxiliary building. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available.     Positive: Good rate. Not far away from a metro station. Plenty of shops and eateries around. Quiet room.Negative: It is misleading to label it as 5 star. It is definitely NOT.No information about public transport access is provided on the website It is under renovación.It is facing tall residential buildings across the front street so there is no privacy if you leave the curtains open.Breakfast is basic, there is no fresh juice.The person working at the noodle yell frequently, interrupting people having meal.The welcome red wine is a joke, they keep redwine bottles in the fridge instead of room temperature. The welcome coffee latte is also a joke. The bar tender does not know how to make a proper coffee.     Good except WiFi

    As a platinum member I was upgraded to a high floor suite. The room was good and spacious. There were fruit and snacks left as a welcome gift. No real issues. I would have liked milk and a wider selection of tea but I sourced some so no real issue. A couple of times the door didnt quite close cos always pull or push tight. I couldnt quite work out the airconditioning, it kept getting hotter, well past the setpoint so I turned it off and opened the windows. The real issue and why it didnt get 5 stars is the internet. It is frustratingly slow. Breakfast was good enough. Not resort quality but enough to find an interesting selection each day with some variety. General public areas were of good quality. The lounge was on the third floor in the Chinese restaurant. Good service and nice snacks.Its not close to the airport, about 40min journey in moderate traffic. There is plenty of restaurants nearby - learn to set up Wechat and link your credit card, many require scanning a menu in Wechat and paying to place the order. Cheap and tasty food can be had conveniently this way.     The hotel was clean and conveniently close to the exhibition hall; the shuttle bus was very practical. We received amazing service, especially from PR Manager Zhou Kang, who was incredibly helpful. He personally accompanied and assisted us every day to ensure we had absolutely everything we needed.
