    Typical Chinese HIE but the breakfast has improved since I stayed at one before Covid. Staff can not speak English but all carry personal translators, another big improvement. 25 minutes from PVG late at night and 30 minutes to SHA early in the morning. Restaurants and shopping nearby.

    This review is from my niece who stayed for one night before their departure flight:Staff were not welcoming/friendly and our room was not clean.Check-in staff gave us our room key without other communications, such as basic direction to our room or their breakfast hours. Upon entering our room, we immediately noticed spider webs and dirty bathroom. Complimentary breakfast was acceptable.Location was not as near as other reviewers mentioned, as it took us about 15 minutes walk each way to get from the train station to the hotel, and then back again for our flight the next day. If you have lots of bags, consider using a taxi or rideshare.     I had a great stay at this hotel! The location was good — close to public transport and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful. The best part was breakfast they had good variety and was fresh every morning. I would recommend it to others!

    We stayed here for a few nights in late December / early January. We would consider staying here again.Pros:- Free laundry (but expect a lineup – we had to do it in the middle of the night to avoid waiting).- Lots of options at breakfast.- Free water and N95s at the front desk.Cons:- Poor allergen labelling at the breakfast – things were marked gluten free when they obviously were not, e.g. onion rings.- Difficulties in communication. Expedia said the staff are “multilingual”, including English, but no one we encountered at the front desk could speak any English. They had to use a translation device for every question. It worked.All in all, we would consider staying here again. Good location, right near the metro.
