  With multiple Holiday Inns in Shanghai, this one is a bit out of downtown. Tourists may not find this convenient but metro stop is just nearby. There are also some restaurants around. Room is simple and good enough for a quick stay. Housekeeping, however, is a bit careless. Breakfast is fair and basic.   Approachable price, quality room and breakfast | Stayed here 2 nights, 2 rooms. Great location with Metro nearby and easy access via Didi so location wise, this is great choice. Rooms with great views, quality amenities, standard, no refrigerator with great Chinese breakfast! Got TV's remote battery ran out and got it changed promptly.   My family and I stayed here for three nights while exploring Shanghai. We found it difficult to get rooms that didn’t smell of smoke, despite them being non-smoking. From other reviews, it seems this is a common issue.The room itself was quite basic, with a slightly odd bathroom layout, and it was clear the space hadn’t been updated since it was built. Overall, the hotel felt rather tired and could use some refurbishment.On the positive side, the staff were very helpful, the location was excellent, the beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked perfectly.All in all, it wasn’t a terrible experience. I personally wouldn’t choose to stay here again, but I would recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere simple and conveniently close to the train station.   I got a room smells like smoke 26th floor corner

  I was unlucky enough to be given a room that smells like smoke. When i complained about the room the staff showed distrust in me saying all rooms are non-smoking and refused to offer me another room without any compensation. I ended up sleeping in the toilet for the rest of the night before they offer another room for the next 2 nights. They should've done more proper cleaning and charged more for previous occupant who slept with smoke ash powder all over his body.   We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Shanghai Zhenping for two nights as part of a guided tour. The hotel is conveniently located, with the MRT station about 500 meters away, and plenty of shops within walking distance, which was quite convenient.This is more of a motel-style hotel, primarily catering to local guests. While a few staff members speak moderate English, overall customer service was below average. The reception staff's attitude came across as indifferent. For example, when we requested a taxi, we were told to use the metro instead, despite having luggage, which was not ideal.
