  Excellent hotel within T2 PVG airport. This hotel is the best airport hotel I have ever stayed after visiting almost 40 countries around the world. We were given a brand new suite plus two breakfast included with such reasonable room rate. The front desk staff name Jeep was so helpful and friendly and professional. We definitely will go back because of Jeep!

  After some initial issues related to a language barrier at the reception (unfortunately, their English is poor), thanks to the personal involvement of the Duty Manager with over 20 years of industry experience, our initial issues were resolved, and I consider the entire stay extremely enjoyable and the hotel highly recommended. Instead of access to a business lounge, the hotel provided access to the ground-floor restaurant, and despite the limited food selection, the dishes were delicious and warm.The breakfasts deserve a special mention – during my two-week stay in China, they were the most delicious and best breakfasts of any hotel or other establishment I've ever had in P.R.C. The selection is vast, and each dish was a true masterpiece, including the smoked duck breast. I congratulate the hotel staff, and I wholeheartedly recommend them to travelers!

  I stayed twice in June 2025. With layovers, both times I did not stay a full day.My transit in Shanghai had me arriving at 6am in the morning. I had contacted the hotel in advance and asked for an early check in and explained I would not be staying the night but departing at 8 pm same day. Reception advised no rooms ready. Try again at 9am. At 9am I was advised no rooms ready, come back after 12 midday. Maybe this is reasonable but this hotel is attached to the airport. How many other people have the same situation??I'm in China and the staff were doing their best, but nobody at reception actually understood English properly. Thats ok. We got by.In the restaurant for dinner there were 4 or 5 main courses, my choice was not available. The bar had 4 beer taps. Only 2 were working. Thats also ok as most of the clients don't drink.The bar area and the reception were hot. A Canadian traveller explained they like to be ecco conscious and safe on electricity.My room was great.

  It’s a very old hotel, so room is quite big. location is also near to a metro, small park and eateries. the bed is comfy, while they need to improve more on cleanliness overall. the lift is quite slow during morning breakfast rush… breakfast selection was wonderful!

  中規中矩的住宿體驗 An Adequate Stay

  我在上海浦東假日酒店的入住整體而言尚稱滿意。這家酒店隸屬於中煤集團，並為集團的共產黨支部黨員提供了特別櫃檯。多數情況下，酒店門口的職員都會親切問候。但辦理入住的體驗不很理想。雖然幫助我的前檯職員竭盡所能，但她的同事（據稱是位主管）試圖插隊跳過她，甚至當著我的面與她爭吵，這種行為顯然是不專業的。當我向經理提出這個問題後，她也向我表達歉意。在我入住時行政酒廊沒開，但酒店為那些有酒廊通行證的住客在樓下餐廳提供同樣的餐飲服務，所以這並沒有造成問題。下午茶可以內用也可以外帶，早餐與歡樂時光的餐飲選擇中規中矩。餐廳的工作人員非常樂於助人，但我也看到一名員工嘲笑另一位離開餐廳的客人的舉止，我認為這非常不適當。房間配有一個適合工作的大書桌。風景還可以，床很舒適。但是，浴室太小了。水槽對我來說太低，水壓也很弱，淋浴轉閥操作困難。雖然免治馬桶我很喜歡，但它的沖水效果不佳。退房體驗非常好，我把手機忘在了前台，前檯職員在我離開酒店時迅速把手機送到前門，讓我非常感激。他們還數度替我安排了出租車。I had an overall satisfactory stay at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Pudong. The hotel, owned by China National Coal Group, had a special welcome desk for those affiliated with the Group's Communist Party branch. I usually receive courteous greetings at the front door, although my check-in experience was mixed. While the receptionist helping me did all she could, her colleague, who was supposedly a supervisor, tried to bypass her and even had a quarrel with her in front of me, which was utterly unprofessional. The manager apologized to me afterward when I brought up the issue with her.The Executive Club lounge was closed during my visit, but the hotel offered those with lounge membership the lounge offerings at the restaurant downstairs, so there was no problem. The afternoon tea can be either enjoyed on premises or taken to go. Breakfast and happy hour spreads are adequate. The staff at the restaurant were very helpful, but I also caught sight of a staff member laughing at the behaviour of another guest leaving the restaurant, which I thought was very inappropriate.The room had a large desk suitable for work. The view was okay, and the bed was comfortable. On the other hand, the bathroom was too small. The sink was too low for me to use comfortably, the water pressure was very low, and the shower knobs were difficult to operate. While I appreciate the Japanese toilet, it did not flush well.The check-out experience was very nice. I mistakenly left my phone at the front desk, and the receptionist quickly delivered it to the front door as I was leaving the hotel, which I was very grateful for. They also helped arrange taxis for me a few times.
