Location

This hotel is strategically located on Chang Shou Road at the intersection of Jin An, Chang Ning and Pu Tuo districts, only a 10-minute drive from the city centre. It is close to the business districts, Zhong Shan Park is a 15-minute drive away, People's Square is 15 min away by car and it is 25 minutes' drive to the Bund.

Facility

The hotel has 9 junior suites, 19 suites, 132 single rooms and 99 double rooms, which are located on 21 storeys and are reachable by lift. English- and German-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities available at the hotel include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas (for a fee) allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. Additional amenities include a newspaper stand and a TV room.     Location is great, there are 2 subway stations. Room was clean, cleaner lady was super sweet, and they helped me with electrical heater. Breakfast was also good. For me their service was 5 star.

    I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The hotel staff are very professional, attentive, and always willing to help. I especially want to thank Mr. Hailin Zhang (张海林), who went above and beyond when I experienced internet connection issues with my laptop. Late at night, he brought a Wi-Fi router to my room and coordinated with the IT maintenance team via video call to help me resolve the problem. His dedication, professionalism, and genuine care for guests left a strong impression on me.The hotel’s location is also excellent. It is close to Shanghai Railway Station, convenient public transportation, and the CBD area in Puxi. There are restaurants and grocery shops right downstairs, making it easy to find anything I need.The room was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and both breakfast and dinner were served with fresh ingredients and attentive service. Overall, a very pleasant and memorable stay. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shanghai.

    We stayed 3 nights during hot&humid Shanghai summer. The location ( you have 4 metro lines around), the premises, spacious room with good quality breakfast buffet ( large choice of delicious Chinese cuisine, Western / fruits/ good coffee and tea) were a blast during our stay. I am so happy stayed at Holiday Inn Vista and not in some super tourist location, eh Nanjing with all these crowds and noise.There is a variety of eateries and Services around, Swimming pool (indoor) was a relief during our stay - you just need to bring a swimming cap unless you don’t want to pay overpriced one at the hotel. The room is spacious and well equipped, the windows are soundproof so a light sleeper can enjoy. Just the bed was bit hard to me liking but it’s personal. Last but not least, the front office staff, especially Jennifer, was very professional and really helpful with all my queries. I would definately come back and recommand this hotel!

    Great hotel with really amazing and helpful staff. Large rooms, though bathroom was a bit on the small side. Excellent wifi. I was upgraded to a superior room and gave free breakfast because of my IHG status. The breakfast was huge. I had two issues during my stay which the staff however solved in a very quick and helpful way. I needed to press a suit but initially the staff said that pressing was not available on that day....but they offered to instead iron my suit for free which they did in a few minutes. I then also had a problem with the A/C which seemed not to be working correctly and the room was too hot...once again they quickly offered to bring a fan which they did instantly. No hotel is perfect and this is also not, but the staff make up for it with their great attitude and service culture.By the way, the hotel also has a very good Chinese restaurant on the second floor which was really good and well priced.I fully recommend this hotel Excellent location between Hongqiao Airport and the Bund.

    Outstanding Affordable Accommodation in Shanghai!!!

    I am currently staying at the Holiday Inn Shanghai Vista and I'm so impressed. After a long flight, checked in late at the front desk on Tuesday. Miss Daisy (hope that's correct, her English/communication was excellent) was so kind to upgrade (IHG Platinum status) my room to a deluxe room with Suzhou River view (1606) along with breakfast and lounge access (6:00-8:00). We are loyal Bonvoy Titanium members and usually make our stay at the JW in People Square (more than double the cost this time). I decided to try this property since the kids are not around this time. I'm so impressed with the stay, the staff, accommodations, breakfast, and the local surroundings were fantastic. The Suzhou River path behind the hotel is gorgeous, love the daily morning stroll to beat jetlag before breakfast (it goes on and on, make sure to turn using the various bridges 😂). Line 7/13 (Changshou Road) is only about 5 minutes away by foot. There are ample restaurants around the area. In addition, housekeeping was prompt, courteous, and does a great job of tidying up the room. If you're looking for a comfortable and affordable property in Shanghai, I can't rave about the Holiday Inn Shanghai Vista enough. Thank you Miss Daisy and the rest of the outstanding staff for a great start to our return to China!!!
