Excellent stay. Clean and modern. Next to the Global Center and metro in front of the entrance are big plus. Lounge service is excellent.

Don't stay here when there are so many better options

The room was kind of dirty. I mean, the floor had clearly been vacuumed, but everything was kind of dusty and the walls were scummy. You could see fingerprints and brown watermarks on the walls and mirrors, and the wardrobe handles were covered in some mysterious residue. It was easy to wipe off, just kind of gross. Photos are from after I wiped off some of it since taking photos was kind of an afterthought.Check in was a bit annoying. We were traveling as a couple and they asked multiple times if we didn't want two separate rooms. Asking the first time was fine, but they asked again when we went down to ask for a second room key. It was kind of annoying to receive only one room key for two adults, since you need the key to even go up the elevator which means the person without the key can't just go back to the room and knock. The worst part though, was that the morning we were checking out, hotel staff kept coming by and ringing the doorbell. The first time was cleaning staff. It was kind of weird that she came by around 9am the morning we were checking out, but fine. I told her that we didn't need cleaning because we were checking out that day. An hour later, when I was buck naked about to get in the shower, the doorbell rang again. I threw on a towel to find that it was the same cleaning lady, who said she just came by to "just to check if we had left yet" so that she could begin cleaning. Note that this was 10-something and checkout time was not supposed to be until noon. I told her that we would probably not be leaving until around then. Some time later the doorbell rang again, and yes I was still naked so I ran to throw something on thinking it was the cleaning lady again and that she might barge in if I didn't get the door immediately. It turned out to be a different hotel staff member. She was dressed like a member of the front desk staff and was holding a clipboard, and said she just came by to ask when I would be leaving. This was around 10:45am. Again, checkout time is supposedly noon. I was quite annoyed at this point.I'd been hoping to have a quiet, restful morning (honestly the main reason for booking a hotel that is quite a bit more expensive than most surrounding hotels), and all this was very disruptive and made me feel like they were rushing to get me out of there as fast as possible. It is a huge hotel and it didn't seem like the occupancy rate was that high (based on the dust it looked like no one had stayed in our room recently), so I don't really understand this. When I complained to the front desk about the morning disruptions as I was checking out, they apologized kind of glibly and just said they hoped I'd have a better stay next time. As if I will ever stay there again. There are some really amazing hotels in China, and this was certainly not one of them despite being relatively expensive for the area.

    Excellent experience

Another good stay. Staff were professional and helpful. Julia in executive lounge and Zake at concierge desk in particular were excellent. May improve communication and check in efficiency. Should enforce non- smoking rules and fine those guests who violated the rules in the guest rooms.

Great value, convenient location, Great service

The price you pay here way more than what you can have in North America. Huge room, separated shower room, full bath, separated toilet room. A lot space to lay out your luggages. You can see amazing view of Shanghai through large windows.Hotel staff were very helpful with all my requests and questions.Location is very convenient with metro 3/4 /13 just downstairs. Big shopping mall with a lot of restaurants options downstairs.
