  the first time i ever chose such awful hotel, well should call that a "motel" !!! I looked up the comment here before I booked, actually coz I need to stay close to my relatives, and they said this motel is close to them but they never lived here, if i have known that was so awful, I would be booking intercontinental just opposite to this awful one. there is no freezer, no safe, no air-conditioning and they are providing me heat when outdoors temp is just 20 degrees??? the only impressive thing is the 55 inch TV in the room, and yes the location is good, that is all. close to 90 usd per night, and providing such "facilities" is so worse 我第一次住糟糕的酒店，應該稱之為“旅館”！ 我在預訂前查看了這裡的評論，其實因為我需要住近我的親戚，他們說這家離他們很近但是他們從來沒有住在這裡過，如果我知道這那麼差，我寧可會預訂對面的洲際!!! 唯一令人印象深刻的是房間裡的55英寸電視，是的，位置很好，就是這樣。 每晚接近90美元，和提供這樣的“設施”是如此糟糕！沒有冰箱，沒有保險箱，沒有空調，當戶外溫度只有20度時，它們正在為我提供暖氣。

  Good value, new facilities

  The hotel is said been built in 2015 so all is very new. Clean and tidy. Big room and big bed, friendly staff. I can't spot anything bad- it's opposite Intercontinental Hotel and surrounded by a lot of restaurants and cafes. Tube station is 5 min walk away, with a few lines to go anywhere cross Shanghai. Interesting, if you have the hotel app you can book through it and get some cash back if you top up loyalty card. Room rates changes everyday and free cancellation till 6pm. Very flexible and easy going.

  Very good location in Pudong

  We are from overseas and needed a not so expensive place to hole in for 2 weeks while we helped our nephew move in the university- not bad at <$40 per day per room, without breakfast. Rooms are standard in size, old, smelled of cigarettes. Front desk staff speak English and are always accomodating. Best thing is the location - an asian fast food shop a few steps away,, a convenience store, Family Mart 10 m away, a digital electronics mall, McDonalds and a big Foodmall a block away.More importantly, it is walking distance from the Century Avenue metro station where almost all train lines pass, including the direct train to Pudong Airport. ( only for 6 yuan compared to the taxi which cost 150 yuan) Although it's not in the heart of the popular shopping and tourist spots of th metros are very cheap, efficient and clean. Taxis are unreliable and you might get lost if you dont have someone write your destination in Chinese characters.

  Stayed for 2 nights as the fist location during a China holiday. Good central location, close to ATM banking, reasonable street stalls and taxi access. Reception staff were pleasant and cold communicate sufficiently in English, although not overly enthusiastic. There was a reception saferoom for passports which worked well. Rooms were adequate and heating and showers worked well. Appropriately priced as a 3 star hotel.

  Old but convenient

  This hotel is located just opposite Intercontinental Hotel and it is so convenient to get anything you want (as it is surrounded by shopping malls and lots of restaurants).About the room, i stayed 2 weeks in executive room (old furniture but OK to sleep). My room's power saving device was not functioning properly, it was very annoying when the light kept turning off. So, i asked front desk about it....and they sent someone to fix it... and it was fixed in 10 minutes. Nothing exciting about their facilities. Note: the kettles don't look very clean; don't bother to ask the housekeeping to change because they probably get lousier one for you.
