    Decent airport hotel

    Very reasonably priced, large hotel, spotlessly clean and well maintained if a little dated now. Prime reason for staying is the shuttle to the airport (both terminals) , every 1/2 hour.

    I needed a place to sleep for literally 10 hours before my flight and they not only have me a room that was inferior to what I had paid but they have me a room with no working ac. Their solution was to send a fan 20 minutes after I requested it. Avoid this hotel at all cost

    The Ramada at Shanghai airport is about 10 minutes from the airport by their frequent and efficient free shuttle bus. The hotel is big and nice with a decent restaurant. Breakfast is good. My room was a good size and I didn’t hear any aircraft noise.

    Double charged my stay and no refund

    To cut long story short, I paid for 1 night stay at Ramada Plaza Shanghai Pudong through hotels.com on 12 April 2025. However, when I checked in the hotel insisted that they haven't received the money from hotels.com. We had to pay for the room again. The hotel double charged us. We tried to get our money back, but both hotels.com and Ramada Plaza Shanghai Pudong are not willing to communicate and solved the simple problem. Ramada Plaza promised that they will sort through the problem but up until today (11 May) there was still no communication with them. I had tried various ways to contact them (hotels.com message service, their hotel's email), but I received no reply at all. They had not refunded my money.

    We arrived from Melbourne via Guangzhou around 10.30pm and rather than make our way into town, decided we'd stay near the airport to get sleep as soon as possible.Yes the hotel is outdated in decor but the check in was super fast, hotel very clean, suite was HUGE, including the awesome bathroom which is almost room sized itself, and the breakfast was really fab. Loved the restaurant and it was a nice way to slowly ease in to the beginning of our week in Shanghai.There's a free shuttle direct to both terminals which we took (check hotel website for timings, and note that it doesn't run frequently at certain periods of the day). From there we were able to purchase maglev tickets into town which drastically cuts the travel time and travelling 300km/h is a fun experience. To get right into the city, you need to change lines, but it's easily done via Alipay/WePay or purchasing from service desk.All in all, we loved it and would definitely return if we ever have another late night arrival into Shanghai.
