    ZTE, Nice hotel in Pudong area

    Very clean hotel, spacious rooms, good breakfast. Very close to Subway and to the Century park and the Exhibition center.Staff are friendly with limited English. The only negative part was the WiFi, Internet is slow all day.

    A cost Effective solution for staying in Shanghai

    I think this is my second review of the ZTE. This hotel is vey convenient, one block off the subway. It is a mid level hotel. The carpets are worn and the rooms sometime smell a bit musty. However, because of location and the fact that the rooms were reasonably clean and the breakfast decent, this is a great cost performer. I use the ZTE often as it is easy to get everywhere from here if you are willing or planning to use the subway system.

    Ok, the fact that there is a construction site 100 meters outside the hotel (where equipment is started daily at 6 am, also on weekends) probably is not the hotel's fault. Everything else is: cleanliness is limited, the internet connection was very unstable, the faucet in one of the bathrooms was mounted so that the water drops on the edge of the water basin (creating a mess every time you wash your hands), breakfast was not ready once at 7 (when it officially opens), and the breakfast room was standing room only on weekends, because it is designed to hold the weekday crowd (which spends 10 minutes or so in the breakfast room, and not 30 minutes or so during the weekends). I am very much used to Chinese hotels all over the country, and I am flexible, but the week we spent here was not enjoyable. And the hotel is not cheap. Positives: very comfortable bed (not as hard as is usual in China), good heating, friendly and helpful staff.

    Comfortable and clean rooms.Nice and big Lobby. Helpful and polite staffs.A classy chinese hotel in a classy suburb of shanghai... Pudong district is near to Airport and also shanghai international fair.5minutes to Metro station.Safety box at the lobby is available.Good Breakfast and you can find whatever you need.

    Moderate high-end hotel in science park district

    I stayed here because I was working in the science park, which is far from the rest of the city. The room was high quality, but there is almost nothing to do in the area or the hotel. Restaurant is 100% average, with a Chinese and Western option but only the Chinese available when I was there. I communicated with Mandarin - I don't think the staff speaks English at a good level (not comparable to other Shanghai business hotels). But, it was very good value.
