Conveniently situated in the heart of Suzhou, the ideal location is a perfect base for exploring the local sights and attractions. The hotel is also only a short ride from the Industrial Park and the New District where manufacturing and technology drive the Suzhou economy. The central Guanqian Street, which is good for shopping, and the bars in Shiquan Street are only a 5-minute drive from the hotel, as is the Suzhou Museum. The nearest park, Panmen Park, is only a 5-minute walk and the Hanshan Temple, Tiger Hill and Pearl Farm are all 10 minutes’ drive away. The train station can be reached in 20 min using public transport. A trip to Lake Taihu requires just a 40-minute drive and Shanghai can be reached in only 90 min by car.

Pros: the gardens Cons: rooms are dated, don’t forget to pack a swim cap as you won’t be allowed in the pool- adults and kids included. Yes this is enforced by a guard that is on his phone between watching out for your safety. They’ll sell you a cap for 38 yuan. Can’t use the pool before 10am as the guests upstairs are sleeping. The cafe doesn’t talk to the hotel: charging your tab to your room seems like a foreign concept. The hotel is massive with bus loads of tourists. The breakfast buffet felt chaotic. The hotel is huge and there is a lot of walking between areas. It wasn’t the best. It’s not a luxury experience by any means. Feels like a Best Western. A lot of families and just not great. I was expecting more from the brand.

SuzhouEx Grand dame of Suzhou1077245968I should be proud as a Singaporean of this hotel. Run by Pan Pacific -Singapore hotel group. This hotel was built and design by our former PM wife. Hotel is grand fr outside like a city fortress.Inside is also impressive BUT1. Rooms are not well maintained - mould has start to appear at shower cubicle.2.pool too - tiles need to scrubA word to describe- getting old .. need to spruce up and renovate.Breakfast has good variety but lack heart and quality … the service ladies( 2) greet meWith a yawn at 7.30amHotel is situated next to Pang Men garden ( a sightseeing attraction.) Nothing more to praise or comment . Upgrading of room was miserable considering my friend is a Discovery Titanium member.Next trip will not bother to stay here.

Like a grand lady, the Pan Pacific in Suzhou is a classical hotel for Chinese tradition Suzhou style. Right next to a panoramic view, widespread breakfast options, recognisable brand in suzhou, pan pacific Suzhou checks all the boxes if you like an all in one Suzhou experience. During off peak hours 2-6pm, the restaurants are closed but that’s when the round the corner award-winning noodle store is it. Rooms are comfortable, somewhat dated but it goes with the traditional Chinese style of the hotel. Has 2 pools - one indoor and one outdoors and beautiful gardens and little nooks to amble in.

Located in the heart of Suzhou old town which is a great location. hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful, the room was large and clean. surrounded by beautiful classical Suzhou Gardens architecture, AAAA Tourist Attractions Panmen scenic area is included in the hotel stay.
