  Poor experience. Arrived at the hotel before noon time and the room was available to check in but got charged 30% of my night stay for early check in. The room was comfortable but the television did not work. No smart tv available. I will choose another hotel in my next visit.   ****Beware**** Loyal IHG Guests!

  Beware loyal IHG guests. I recently checked-in for the first time wanting to try this property and checked-out an hour later! Unfortunately, I had a disappointing experience with the check-in staff at the Holiday Inn. They were unprofessional and seemed disinterested in providing good customer service. To make matters worse, the manager Luis Ramirez was making up his own rules without providing any written policy to support his statements. He would not permit my nieces to swim in the pool for two hours. This lack of transparency and accountability is unacceptable and severely impacted my overall impression of the hotel. I contacted Holiday Inn’s Customer Care spoke with a representative who agreed there was no written policy regarding guests in the pool. They contacted Luis and advised him he should permit my nieces to swim for a few hours. After the call the Holiday representative came back to me and stated he cleared things up. Unfortunately Luis said he wasn’t changing his mind regardless of what Holiday Inn’s corporate offices said. He said it was his hotel and his rules. Ultimately I booked a room at the Hilton Garden Inn, Barranquilla where I have stayed many times and had fantastic experiences. There I have never had an issue with brining two guests to the pool for a hours. I was “welcomed back home” and treated like a VIP! Book the Hilton Garden Inn. They will it disappoint.

  Nice and clean hotel

  Nice hotel with lots of good views from the rooftop pool and restaurant. It’s clean and secured.Public transport is not very convenient but taxis are available.Not many good restaurant options at walking distance but malls are close by.I recommend taxis instead of walking to the mall because of hot and humid Barranquilla weather.

  Our AC didn't work and 2 out of 3 days the wifi didn't work.

  We stayed for work for three nights. I had to call them to fix our AC twice and 2 out of 3 days the wifi did not work. The remote for the TV did not control the TV, only the cable box. At least the bed was nice and the shower was hot.   Hotel was clean and organized . The staff was friendly and helpful . The place was decorated well for the carnavales tht we’re taking place in the city. Taxis were always available outside of hotel. Overall a great experience and will definitely be back
