    A good stay in Bogotá.

I stayed at this hotel for one night, during a connecting flight. It's about 15 minutes from Bogotá airport. The room was new and good: comfortable beds, good bathroom, TV, coffee maker, safe, but no mini-fridge. A good breakfast with various fruits, different types of bread, eggs, etc. Helpful service at reception. There are nearby amenities such as a pharmacy and a convenience store (Dollarcity). A good hotel.

The Hampton by Hilton Bogota Airport is a reliable and convenient option for travelers needing easy access to El Dorado International Airport (BOG). Its primary strength is its location, offering a stress-free connection for early morning flights or late-night arrivals.

    Terrible staff

This has been the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had a as frequent traveler so far, just book a night in this hotel for it’s shuttle service to the airport and attracted with their “by Hilton” brand expecting for some quality service. Despite I showed I’m not Colombian resident with my overseas passport, entry stamp to Colombia as a visitor and ticker out of the country the next day, they still want me to pay the tax. According to the front desk receptionist Camila was not “her problem” I don’t have a certificate from my country of residence’s embassy proving I’m not living in Colombia, I requested to speak to the manager and he was nothing but condescending and demand me to show my tax return from country of residence as it normal to carry such document on a holiday. The bed was rock hard, had to ask for towels as we only got one despite I was traveling with my partner, those towels had a very unpleasant odor.

THIS HOTEL TARGETS, HARASSES AND DISCRIMINATES AGAINST WOMAN

    rating26 Jun 2024

DO NOT travel to this hotel if you’re a woman traveling alone. They will discriminate, target and harass you as they did to me from the second I checked in. Do not let the American brand “Hampton by Hilton” foul you, they do not even know that Americans only have one last name on their passport and almost made me sleep on the street with my two kids because their passports don’t have my last name. Not even Colombian immigration said a word about this but the hotel did. According to Geovanny it was “my problem” not giving my American children two last names, LOL, like his opinion matters. They also forced me to provide copy of my tax returns in order to not charge a tax that only Colombians pay. Who goes on vacation with their tax return? Also, who knows what they will do with all of my family members social security numbers, birthdates, addresses and income …… mind you, this was only requested to me as a solo woman traveling with my children; I asked a group on European gentleman if they were asked for this and they were not asked for tax returns nor asked to pay the extra tax. There’s another issue with a woman traveling alone down the reviews here. THIS HOTEL TARGETS, HARASSES AND DISCRIMINATES AGAINST WOMAN. So far in this trip to Colombia I had stayed in two other hotels and none of them had made me show proof of tax returns nor made any ugly comments about my kids not having two last names on their passports Corporate care has already reached out to me and made things right, however avoid this hotel so you do not receive this kind of unethical and uneducated treatment

    Hampton by Hilton hotel

    rating19 Jun 2024

We got here after the second part of our flight was overbooked. Avianca put us up for the night and fed us here. Overall pretty nice hotel! Strange that the lobby is on the 12th floor but okay. The room was very comfy and nice. The dinner was marginal, in fact I couldn’t eat the chicken filet. Quite tough and tasteless
