cockroachs and food poisoning! juice is prepared with unpurified tap water be aware!

  08 Oct 2022

This is the place to get sick and ruin your holidays! from tip to top is the worst place I've ever stayed in Colombia! there is too much noise in the hall area is impossible to sleep, the bed is decent at least, but the room is a nightmare so tiny if you open the luggage there is no way to pass, and the door handles are broken in the bathroom and the main door, you have only one tiny towel for the whole staying, there is no shampoo in the dispenser and I needed to ask for body wash, there were cockroach in our room, the breakfast is nothing alike the pictures, is filthy tasteless, waitress are so distracted and irresponsible, I asked precisely in Spanish how was made the fresh juice, tap water of bottle water as tap water is NOT POTABLE NOR DRINKABLE the girl said: is made with bootle water, we drank that and few ours later our holiday was ruined as we had food poisoning, in a place like that faraway from home is the most dangerous thing you might encounter, there are many tourists that have been dead due to this reasons, we head to the pharmacy and buy all necessary to get at list better without success, I had a confirmation from the lady in the reception that juices are made with tap water and she apologyze for the inconvenient, the hotel should not prepare drinks with tap water this migth be suitable for locals as their stomatch would be resistant to bacteria and parasites TURIST NOT i got the reservation through agency the lady was nice and deeply upset with this hotel, but I don't recommed this place. would find an air b&b for the same price at least cleaner and nicer. this place is disgusting! Fair hotel with good location if you are looking into Bova grande district. Overall it is 3.5/5

  20 Mar 2022

Conveniently located around 5-7 minutes from the historic center. That is without taking into consideration traffick which can add up to 15- 20 minutes.Staff in general are friendly and approachable. Willing to help 24/7Rooms are very small like a matchbox. Cleaning was not to international standards. Found long black hair in my bed from someone else. One of the TV remotes did not work. But that is why I don't give 5 stars to this place.Breakfast is included. Nothing extraordinary though. But you shouldn't be picking a hotel based on breakfast with a zillion options out there. Especially on the streets . Price is good but cleaning should never be compromised even with a good room price. It is also very true that you can hear everything from the rooms, like people talking on the hallway.Overall 3.5/5 stars Daniela Mendoza, Owner at Hotel Azuan Suites, responded to this review Dear Raúl,Thank you for choosing to stay with us and for sharing your constructive feedback. We are pleased that you appreciated our convenient location near the historic centre and that our team was friendly and willing to help.We sincerely apologise for the shortcomings you experienced. A guest room should always be spotless, and finding hair in the bed and malfunctioning TV remotes is unacceptable. We have shared your comments with our housekeeping and maintenance teams to ensure better attention to detail and to inspect all amenities before each arrival. We also regret that the room felt smaller than expected and that noise from the hallway disturbed your rest. We will review ways to improve soundproofing and remind guests to be considerate of others.Your feedback about the breakfast and overall cleaning will help us enhance our service and maintain the best possible standards, even while offering attractive pricing. Thank you again for bringing these matters to our attention. We hope you will give us another opportunity to provide you with a comfortable and pleasant stay.Sincerely,Daniela ZuluagaJefe de Servicio al ClienteGEH Suites | Experiencias memorables

Good option if you will be outside. This hotel has a good location since is very close to the beach. The rooms are very narrow but still comfortable. The service customer is very good, especially Rolando who gave us very good advices! The only 'bad thing' it was that it may be noisy in the morning, you can hear everything is going on outside. Daniela Mendoza, Owner at Hotel Azuan Suites, responded to this review Dear CristinaTriminio,Thank you for choosing Azuan Suites and taking the time to share your experience. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed our privileged location near the beach and found our rooms comfortable despite their size. We will share your kind comments with Rolando and the rest of the team – it is always motivating to be recognized for the advice and service we provide. We apologize for any disturbance caused by outside noise in the mornings. We understand how important rest is and we are working to improve soundproofing to ensure a more peaceful stay.We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back and provide you with another pleasant visit to Cartagena.Warm regards,Daniela ZuluagaJefe de Servicio al ClienteGEH Suites | Experiencias memorables

  Safe, Clean, Noisy

  02 Jan 2019

The staff speak mainly in Spanish and are very helpful, the rooms are pretty small. No hand soap or conditioner, water never gets warm and sound goes right through the doors to the hallway which is unpleasant with crying kids or people talking. But the location is great, AC is cold, and the WiFi works so we were happy overall. Bring your own toiletries, ask for a room away from the common area and neighboring restaurant. Always coffee and water available! Breakfast is included too 👍 Daniela Mendoza, Owner at Hotel Azuan Suites, responded to this review Dear cassie62995,Thank you for staying at Azuan Suites and taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We are happy to know that you felt safe and enjoyed our convenient location, attentive staff, cold air conditioning and reliable Wi‑Fi. Your recommendation to bring toiletries and choose a room away from the common area is valuable. We apologize for the inconveniences you encountered during your stay. We appreciate your comments regarding the size of the rooms, the availability of toiletries, the temperature of the water and the noise from the hallway. We will address these issues with our maintenance and housekeeping teams to improve our facilities and to ensure we provide soap, conditioner and better sound insulation for a more comfortable experience. We hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back and provide a better stay.Warm regards,Daniela ZuluagaJefe de Servicio al ClienteGEH Suites | Experiencias memorables
