  The best location if you are going on a cruise from Cartagena; a short walk from the Cruise Terminal

  Strategic location on Manga Island, a few minutes from the historic center and very few steps from Cartagena Bay and the city's cruise terminal. Excellent service, comfortable rooms and a very good restaurant. The view from the rooms is amazing and the prices definitely super attractive. Reservations should be made directly and in good time.   I believe this hotel has a good location. Just outside the tourist area of Cartagena so that you can feel like a local but just 10mins to the tourist area. The staff was wonderful as well.   Great location if you work near Mamonal area

  Good hotel. Perfect if you spend time working in the Mamonal area, since you will save a lot of time in traffic. Great, polite and helpful staff, good room, clean, good breakfast. Not many places close for eating, you will have to take a cab . A small fridge would be nice to have in the room.   Worth it...but improves some issues

  This is a very known chain with the minimum standard almost similar everywhere; it is located inside a building occupying only some floors, lobby/restaurant/swimming pool are at 10th , guest rooms below. It seems quite new, rooms have enough space as well as the bathroom, I did appreciate the bed, big and extremely comfortable. What needs a significant improve in my opinion are breakfast, personnel and Wi-Fi. Breakfast has even enough choice but it is fundamental to add label or similar closed to each product, with of course English translation, not just a blackboard with a list. Employees don’t know English, only some speak a basic one and this is not acceptable for an international chain. Internet network should be improved, not speed really, but the “covering”, in some rooms it interrupts the service sometime annoyingly.The location is not the best, downtown and Boca Grande is quite far, however taxi and Uber are plenty and with affordable fares and, last but not least, the overall cost of the hotel is really affordable.   Three things lowered the grade for this hotel: location, dining, and poor wifi. Be warned, this Holiday Inn on Manga is not near the main spots. Getsemani is about a 30-minute walk and Bocagrande is a car ride away. The hotel is located in a business district within sight of the port and the cruise ship terminal. While it is quiet and very safe, you'll be walking or taking taxis to go anywhere interesting. The hotel's restaurant only serves breakfast. You are on your own for lunch and dinner. There are a few restaurants about 10 to 20 minutes' walk away. They do have a small store where you can buy snacks and drinks, but nothing substantial. I'm not sure if this is the result of Covid, but it can be a problem unless you eat while you are out. I found the wifi was hit and miss especially on the floors below reception. This hotel's reception is on the 10th floor and the rooms are on floors below. I understand the internet in Colombia is barely 10 mb/s, but it would seem more nests might be the solution to help boost the signal.The GoodThe staff are very friendly. They are very nice and welcoming. The general manager takes time to chat with guests and introduce himself which is a practice I have rarely seen in hotels. There is a small swimming pool on the 10th floor with views of the city and the flight path to the airport which is on the other side of La Popa. It would not take much for this hotel to be a great hotel. An express lunch or dinner on offer would make things better.It is clear that this hotel caters to a business demographic, but it will do in a pinch for tourists, especially if you won't want to stay in the party zones.
