These people in Colombia was very nice. Fabian the waiter in buffe was realy nice all them very friendly very bizy hotel in boca Grande. I am Canadian but I move in Canada from Greece 🇬🇷 20 years ago .I thought Greece is no 1 .Now i know Colombia 🇨🇴 is no 2.Better from Mexico and Dominica Republic very organized. The hotel is in good location just dont take all inclusive take only breakfast in the hotel there are so nice restaurants close and very good cheap prices local food. But again hotel plaza was very nice not perfect but i go back for sure.!!! Far from being a four stars hotel
28 Feb 2026
+ The hotel is clean and the employees are efficient - The pool is way to small for the number of rooms The food in the buffet is of poor choice, we had dinner outside of the hotel for the duration of our stay. (5 night) We where a group of 40 Canadians and most of us if not all where very disappointed. The beach access is very limited. You ask for a beer or a glass of water at the bar and they give you a small glass. Air Canada Vacations misrepresent and mislead, then they ignore. Truly fraudulent
18 Feb 2026
LIES, LIES, LIES. We bought a package from Air Canada Vacations which stipluated an ocean view premium room and a beach area cordoned for Hotel Plaza guests. We did not get get an ocean view but a side view of the building next door. The beach across the street was not cordoned but full of hustlers trying to sell you a tent with chairs. On the first day we were given a standard room on the 18th floor instead of a premium room on the 10 th floor. We had to complain the next morning to be moved. WE paid $500 extra for these premium rooms. Trying to contact Air Canada vacations post travel is useless. Stayed on the phone for 2 hours with no response on four separate osscaions. They ignore, igore and ignore. Its been two months and we are still waiting for a response from them. They sell you something which yoy dont get and then they ignore you. Litigate, litigate and litigate, then they will have to answer. Jefe Atencion al Cliente, Atención al huésped/Recepción at Hotel Cartagena Plaza, responded to this review Dear Richard,Thank you for taking the time to share your opinion. We apologize if we didn’t meet your expectations. We are committed to improving and your opinion is key to that.Happy day!

Excellent experience
02 Feb 2026
This hotel is located in the safe touristic area of Cartagena. We stayed in the executive room with an ocean view, and had an excellent experience. This executive room gave us priority check-in and access to the lounge. The stuff did an amazing job. Many thanks to Alfonso, Juan, and all the other people. We really enjoyed a friendly atmosphere. The room was super clean. Most of the guests at the hotels were Spanish speaking; English is rarely spoken in the area. This type of room is highly recommended, if you want a quiet room and great service. The rooms located close to the staircase, especially on the lower floors are not as quiet. Our opinion that this was the best value. The food in the main restaurant was ok. The restaurant Lucia on the 5th floor was amazing, as well as the food there. Also, the restaurant Kazabe is highly recommended (it is not a part of the hotel, but you can still book it).Keep in mind that this all-inclusive type of hotel does not include any services on the beach - the beach is public. Be prepared that there will be a lot of vendors offering you stuff. Atencion Cliente, General Manager at Hotel Cartagena Plaza, responded to this review Dear Al_Muzzy,Thank you very much for your comment, each of our services are specially designed to generate the best experiences in our visitors. We are very happy to see that the service provided was of your liking, we would like you to give us the opportunity to continue providing our human quality and all the services we have thought for your comfort, we will be waiting with open arms and a big smile. Have a good day!

Cartagena Plaza is an outstanding hotel that truly delivers a five-star experience. The location is perfect—right on the beach and close to restaurants, shops, and key attractions, making it easy to enjoy the best of Cartagena. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, with beautiful ocean views that make mornings especially enjoyable. Housekeeping is excellent and consistently attentive. The staff stands out for their professionalism, warmth, and willingness to help at any time, always making guests feel welcome.
