  ********BEWARE 0 STARS********

0 Stars –BEWARE Disappointing stay full of hidden fees and basic oversights. We were literally scammed by this hotel, especially given what we paid. First off, there was an extra charge per person added to room cost at check-in —sneaky, unethical amd breech of paid reservation. (See attached reservation photo for two people)Upon check-in, our room had no towels at all. To make matters worse, there was no bath mat or even a spare towel to step out of the shower—had to awkwardly drip-dry or use clothing. The rooftop pool (advertised as a highlight) was tiny and completely out of service the entire stay, with zero prior warning or mention anywhere on the website or at check-in.The lobby bar was a joke—they were out of almost everything, including basic ingredients to make even the cocktails listed on their own menu. When we ordered a glass of red wine, we were served what tasted like a cheap, old bottle for an outrageous $20 per glass. Highway robbery! In the room, the coffee maker was this cheap, odd-looking contraption with no coffee cups provided whatsoever—how are you supposed to actually use it?We tried calling the front desk multiple times using the room phone to request the missing towels, coffee cups, etc., but the phone doesn't connect to the front desk. Completely useless. Finally, parking was located over a mile away from the hotel—so we had to trek back and forth. Not practical at all.Overall, the place nickel-and-dimed us, skimped on basic amenities, and failed on simple service expectations. We won't be returning and wouldn't recommend it unless you're okay with a lot of frustration.Reviews state others had a similar experience! Dont make our mistake!

  One Week in Cartagena

  22 Feb 2026

I had an excellent experience at Hotel Casa La Factoria during my time in Cartagena. I found the hotel clean, rooms in good order, and the shower hot with good water pressure. The staff was excellent and very accommodating. Daniela at the front desk was especially helpful in offering local advice and assisting in booking local excursions. I definitely plan to stay again for my next trip to Cartagena! Great stay and location, with some small room service issues.

  15 Feb 2026

The hotel was very nice and boutique and everything was beautiful. The room was a little small, but had everything needed and the WiFi was good and easy to connect. We had a few issues - towels were hard to find. The rooftop jacuzzi almost never had towels available when we visited, and room service forgot to give us new towels once after cleaning. Also the shampoo was removed on the second day and never replaced. It was also difficult during the day to find service if you wanted a drink or any special requests. These were very small issues. Overall a nice place to stay. Good location with easy access to everything in the old city. Gina Cervantes, Otro at Hotel Casa La Factoria by Faranda Boutique, a member of Radisson Individuals, responded to this review Dear James,Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review of your stay with us.We are truly pleased to know that you appreciated our boutique atmosphere, the beauty of our spaces, the comfort of your room, and our privileged location in the heart of the Old City. These are certainly not the standards we strive to uphold, and your comments have been shared with our housekeeping and service teams to ensure greater consistency and attentiveness. We truly appreciate your gracious understanding in describing these as minor issues, and we are committed to refining every detail to provide a seamless experience. It would be our pleasure to welcome you back and offer you an even more flawless stay in the future.Warm regards,

Beautiful appointed, excellent service, and food

  20 Oct 2025

The hotel is a beauty appointed house, built in a 16 century. The staff could not be more attentive, particularly and the restaurant personal. They have a steam room, a massage room, and a pool with a Jacuzzi hot tub in a grotto the food in the restaurant is excellent quality And very reasonably priced. I recommend this hotel without reservations, if you can get a suite.
