No food or drinks

We spent 2 nights here. The second night they closed all bar and restaurants for guests due to a private function and suggested we get a drink and dinner in the shopping centre next door. Gestor de Experiencia, Guest Services / Front Office at Hotel Poblado Plaza, responded to this review Dear Munch, We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and understand how frustrating it must have been to feel that the hotel’s food and beverage services were unavailable during your stay.We would like to clarify that on Sundays and public holidays, our restaurant and bar operate until 4:00 p.m. On this occasion, we did have a private event scheduled in the bar; however, the event was planned to take place after our regular closing time and therefore was not intended to affect the service provided to our guests during operating hours. We are truly sorry if this situation gave you the impression that the hotel was closed to guests or that you were unable to enjoy our services as expected. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention, as your feedback helps us identify opportunities to improve the way we communicate our schedules and services to our guests.Thank you for staying with us, and please accept our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. The Hotel Poblado Plaza is a gem of luxury at a great value.

Poblado Plaza Hotel in Medellín delivers a highly compelling blend of great location, modern comfort, and value—particularly well-suited for business travelers and extended stays. Its strategic positioning in El Poblado is a major asset. Within a short walking radius, you have access to three ?????? retail centers—Centro Comercial Santafé, Centro Comercial Oviedo, and Centro Comercial La Strada—alongside a large-format supermarket and a well-stocked pharmacy. This level of proximity materially reduces friction for both daily needs and last-minute requirements, a non-trivial advantage in Medellín’s traffic environment. The food and beverage program overdelivers relative to price point. Breakfast is varied and consistent, with a strong mix of local Colombian options and international staples. Dinner service is equally solid—well-executed, reliable, and convenient when you prefer to stay in rather than navigate the city’s dining scene. From a capital efficiency standpoint, the hotel represents exceptional value. Pricing is materially below comparable properties in El Poblado while maintaining a strong standard across rooms, service, and amenities. This makes it particularly attractive for repeat stays or longer durations. Finally, the recently redesigned lobby elevates the overall experience. The space now feels contemporary and professional, improving first impressions and providing a more suitable environment for informal meetings or quick business interactions.Bottom line: Poblado Plaza is a pragmatic, high-utility choice in Medellín—combining location, functionality, and pricing discipline in a way that is difficult to replicate in this submarket. Poblado Hoteles, Otro at Hotel Poblado Plaza, responded to this review Dear Patrick,Thank you for your masterful review and for highlighting the strategic value of our property. We are thrilled that our prime location in El Poblado, our diverse culinary program, and the recent redesign of our lobby met your expectations for both functionality and comfort. Our team strives to provide a seamless experience for every guest, and knowing we hit the mark for your stay is our greatest reward. It was a pleasure to host you, and we look forward to being your home base in Medellín once again.Best regards,Yessenia VelásquezDirectora de Alojamiento

Poblado Shopping Trip
11 Nov 2025
This was a group of 8 ladies get away shopping trip. The hotel was in a perfect location with two major malls just two blocks walking distance. The location in the Poblado neighborhood was green and clean! Lots a great restaurants again in walking distance. The hotel staff was extremely accommodating to everyone’s extra needs and wants. The bar and breakfast cafe provided fantastic service. The rooms and bathrooms were perfect. The very best shower I’ve ever had in a hotel. Instant hot water - which is hard to get in a big hotel. We had 4 wonderful days - even the weather was perfect - the rain came at night providing warm sunny days to shop and tour! Highly recommend!! Very nice hotel

Very nice hotel. Very nice room with very comfortable beds. Very nice breakfast with great variety. Because of the key controlled power, the electric alarm clock had to be reset every time we reentered the room. Face cloths were not provided.
