Poor soundproofing, basic hotel

Stayed in a corner junior suite for 3 nights. The soundproofing is very poor and the hotel faces a busy road so you hear every car and motorcycle that passes by at night. We had 3 sound machines going and I still had to wear earplugs the 1st night. Pool is tiny and closed on Mondays. Breakfast is decent and does change daily. Room service food is from the bar on the 8th floor and is pretty decent. There is an atm and some shops/restaurants nearby. Because of the noise would not stay again. Soulless and expensive hotel but in a good area

This is an expensive hotel which is evidently primarily, a business stop over hotel. The rooms are large, comfortable and very clean. Unfortunately you can't see out of any windows at all due to a weird glass covering that tints and obscures the views. No balcony's. The rooms are well equipped with a TV (only if you speak Spanish though!), hairdryer, iron & board and a microwave. The rooftop pool area is small but ok. However the glass barriers surrounding it are so filthy you can't see the magnificent view of the Andes and the city at all, which was very disappointing.The food is excellent, but considering it's an international business type hotel, the bar and restaurant staff didn't speak any English and there was no option of an English version of the menu. It also only served 2 red wines, both of which were not good quality. It is in a great area however and it's definitely worth exploring the Provenza area, great food and shopping and felt very safe The main plaza in Medellin is very sleazy and but has wonderful sculptures. Traffic is very bad so if you're exploring by car / taxi, allow for good time. Haha. I love Wyndham’s pillows. If only I can take at least one home. And breakfast was super. it had everything I wanted. And the presentation? it looks as if there’s going to be an event. so beautiful. Your eyes will be hungrier than your stomach, but please take only what you can finish!
