Worth a visit

It's a pleasant hotel situated a bit away from the busy areas so it is quiet but be prepared to use Uber to get around. The staff are friendly but a lot of them give the impression that they have had little or no training in customer service; we were only there a couple of nights but much longer and this could get annoying!

Everything you need for a good stay.

Rich breakfast. Very comfortable rooms. If it wasn’t because the air conditioning regulation had restrictions and until the second night we went and that we were 4 and two days we had to order a fourth towel would be 100 out of 100. We had dinner one night at the hotel. International food. He was rich but would have preferred more indigenous options

V Grand in Medellin must stand for bare minimum in service
08 Feb 2026
V Grand in Medellin must stand for bare minimum in service because that's exactly what I got from my experience here and do not recommend. (If other options are available). Please take the negative reviews seriously b/c they are accurate.Location: Okay. It's on a quiet street which is cool, a few minutes from the main things in El Poblado, but does not give walk alone later in the day and not really walkable in my opinion. Other hotels are more centrally located for walking as a tourist/visitor in the El Poblado area.Room/Cleaning/Service: I stayed on the 11th floor.. After the 2nd day there my room was not cleaned at all. I I returned to my room around 5:30pm & also the two bottles of water that was promised everyday was not there. So I went down stairs to inquire about this b/c maybe I was confused. I know some hotels do every other day or upon request. Receptionist stated that absolutely they do room service every day and said they would bring two bottles of water up. I ran into this problem TWICE IN A FIVE DAY stay including no bottled water. Cleaning person came again the 4th day at 5:30pm. I had just gotten out the shower so I refused service. This is unacceptable. I've stayed at many hotels throughout the years, but never has room cleaning this late. If this hotel is short on cleaning staff, they need to hire more. Shower water was only really hot in the evening. A TV guide of some sort would be helpful. Rooms were not the most soundproof I could hear people sometimes talking.Food: Buffet breakfast was unremarkable and there hardly seems to be enough seating during the busiest of hours (8-9am) and the hot food was not replaced to accommodate people arriving later. I also had dinner here once & since it was my first night after traveling 8+ hours, I opted to get a burger with fries for something quick. I was asked how I wanted my burger and I said well done. When my food was brought I cut the burger open & it wasn't even medium well it was still really red/pink so I sent it back. They remade it, this time cooked mostly right, but they brought me the same cold fries from the first plate. This is not okay and I didnt even want it at that point so disappointing.I also came back from a Coffee Farm tour one day & I asked the receptionist if they had any dark towels I could possibly wipe my shoes off b/c they were a little muddy. I didn't want to use the white towels to avoid being charged extra. They eventually said no they didn't have any, but could offer some napkins. They came back with 2-3 pieces of small tissue. I said this wouldn't be enough & then they asked about the kleenex box in my room. I said I it would be enough if the cleaning service had serviced my room and gave me a box which never happened. The only thing going for this hotel is the views from some of the top floor rooms, the rooms are large & spacious, but after my experience here, it is not worth it. It's the same view you'll see in throughout most places in Medellin. V Grand is 2-3/5 stars max.Originally I was going to choose the Click Clack Hotel & after visiting it two nights in a row for the rooftop and bar I really regret not choosing that hotel and choosing the V Grand. If you're okay with a little noise I recommend the Click Clack (Especially to my solo travelers!)

New Year's Eve holiday

Great hotel nestled off the main path of all the action. If you happen to meet the host George, you will be well taken care of!! Rooms are spacious and well equipped. All the staff are nice and complimentary breakfast had all the fixings. Shout out to George, John David, Fabian, Rafael, Jefferson and Illamori(?), I'm sure I butchered her name. They made our stay that much better.

Lovely stay

The room was large with great view of the city. Great amenities in the room, including WiFi. Breakfast was amazing - so many options. Really lovely breakfast room. In walking distance to the bars and restaurants. Highly recommended.
