This resort was so lovely. We got what we paid for and more. Was it perfect? No. Was it better than expected? Yes. The food was ok. Always warm always plentiful, but repetitive. Lots of fresh fruit bread and cheese which are things I love. When something needed to be fixed, they always sent someone right away. We had a beautiful big room with balcony and perfect ocean view. There are 3 bars, 3 pools and a delicious little coffee shop. In my opinion, the hotel was better that described. We also had free access to other decameron hotels as well as a beautiful little place called Rocky Cay.This hotel was far from downtown, but very easily accessible by bus for $2. Just a note though, buses stop running around 8:30 pm.The only downfall was the beach. Not enough chairs and not enough shade. The ocean was beautiful and clear for swimming but I recommend water shoes. All in all, it was a perfect vacation with 2 of my daughters. Where do I start . We got here at 10:00 am and we asked early check in . We’re told to wait till 3:00 pm : there must be another 100 people waiting to check in , while the employees are taking a siesta : no one seems to care . We were able to have lunch buffet style and the fact it’s an island one would expect fresh seafood . Instead we were served bass catfish . The worse fish to serve. And that’s the beginning: place is old , small swimming pool , one bartender making all the free drinks . It was a very good experience despite the bad weather.The food was varied and delicious.Not all the staff were equally friendly. However, none were rude.
