Some positives include: beautiful view from rooftop pool and bar, good location close to parque de Los Novios and quick, attentive service in room when the TV and safe stopped working. The bed was comfortable and the room adequately clean. Negatives: the shower doors need a good scrubbing along the tracks, and the water temperature varies between super hot to ice cold throughout your shower, no matter how you set the knob. Breakfast is pretty much the same every day, which isn’t unexpected with these types of hotels, but it certainly isn’t “Award winning”. Variations/options are basically “scrambled eggs” or “scrambled eggs with corn”. I’d have loved a little yogurt with my fruit, for example, or oatmeal maybe, but this is just my personal preference. The coffee was good. The restaurant in general could be so much better. We had a couple of dinners and they weren’t great, with service being actually very poor. We waited 45 minutes for a dessert that I’d put on par with something McDonald’s would serve. I can recommend the Thai seafood soup tho - it was the one meal I’d say was quite nicely done. It seemed that some things on the menu and up at the pool bar happy hour just weren’t available, with no explanation. Wifi mostly worked, but it did come and go. You need a room key to activate some of the lights, which is fine, but after our room was cleaned one day, our second key was missing when we returned. Then we made a point of removing it but somehow misplaced it and were told we’d have to pay 30K pesos to replace it! I’ve stayed at dozens of hotels and never been charged for a missing plastic key. We had a massage, which was good, but the price quite high for the area, so we assume the hotel takes a big cut. Expedia advertises this hotel as having a 24 hour airport shuttle, but when we enquired the staff looked confused and offered to arrange a taxi for us that cost almost double what we paid for a private cab from the airport to the hotel originally. Overall, this isn’t a terrible place by any stretch. It’s just not for us.

Amazing rooftop pool and view
10 Mar 2025
Pros: love the rooftop pool area and amazing view of the mountains, Staff was excellent, liked the breakfast area and variety of food, 7 minute walk to the marina area, 5 minute walk to the grocery store, 6 minute walk to the beach, 4 minute walk to Subway for a quick and familiar meal, dinner at the hotel restaurant was good but the portions a bit small, everything was in good working condition, the place was clean, shower was excellent, we had a mini fridge and the beds were comfyCons: the area around the hotel wasn’t that nice. We took cabs everywhere (quite inexpensive) so saved money overall by staying here. Also the windows aren’t sound proofed that well but I used earplugs so it was fineOverall good value for your money. I would stay here again.

Elegant Rooms with Cute rooftop and swimming pool
27 Aug 2024
Upon arrival I encountered somewhat of a line at check in process. The manager in charge realized of this and gently asked for my documents and If I’d like something to drink. I then asked for a higher room since there was an event happening at one of their floors. They moved me from 7 to 15. On Level 16 I discovered the gorgeous rooftop and had a laugh with girl bartenders working behind bar. Rooms are spacious, with international English tv and comfy bedding. My only and big disappointment was the lack of items for breakfast, at 7am there was still no hot food available. Perhaps this is a brand new hotel in town and they will need to invest in more mature staff. They took also 1 hour and more to bring me back my change from room service. Regardless, I will consider this Hotel as a nice elegant option in Santa Marta.

Comfortable hotel in the heart of Santa Marta
28 Dec 2023
My sons & I spent 3 days in Santa Marta in between our times in Cartagena & Minca. We spent 1 day in Playa Concha, one of the only beaches in Tayrona National Park easily accessible from Santa Marta. We happened to be in town for Christmas. There were lots of festivities in & around the town square & Bay area. We found a nice variety of restaurants. Try The Mexican for tasty & inexpensive tacos, etc or Radio Burger for hamburgers.

Incompetent, Childish, and Petty Front Desk & Security Staff
23 Feb 2023
Due to an error made by the front desk. My fiancée and myself were treated disrespectfully and humiliated at every single interaction with this staff. From sending me to dangerous areas for currency exchange without first calling to make sure they were open as I requested they do. To discriminating against me and my Colombian national fiancée by stopping her from entering the hotel every day after her work. No management ever being visibly present except when sitting in the dining area during the breakfast buffet eating. To hiring and employing young irresponsible and petty security. The front desk and security employees, which by the way are and were my very first impression of the hotel were grossly incompetent and disrespectful. As one of the higher priced hotels in the area I would definitely suggest anyone thinking to stay here to reconsider and look at other similarly priced stays. I will say there was 1 front desk staff member that did go above and beyond my expectations (Marlon), but because he wasn’t working 24/7 the week long hotel stay was horrible to say the least. Too many nice hotels with front desk employees that actually want you and treat you like you’re welcomed!
