  Award reservation cancelled after flight delays despite notifying hotel

  Due to my flight being delayed four times out of my control, I notified the hotel in advance of my late check-in. The hotel initially said my Hilton Honors award reservation could be modified without penalty. Later, the reservation was cancelled without my authorization, with the explanation that points bookings could not be changed. I only discovered this the next morning after my points were refunded.While travelling from Canada to Santa Marta with multiple flight delays, I contacted Hilton Honors and later went to the hotel in person to resolve the issue. José Sánchez at the front desk was courteous and professional, but the options offered were far worse than the original booking. I also spent more than two hours on the phone with Hilton Honors and was unable to speak with the General Manager, who declined an in-person conversation when I requested escalation.The hotel eventually refunded my points, which I appreciate, but after a long travel day I had to secure lodging elsewhere.Staff were polite, but escalation and service recovery were not available when needed. If you book with points, I recommend confirming award reservations directly before arrival.

  Centrally located, very nice atmosphere, friendly staff, nice room, quiet, clean, nice amenities, good value. Loved the complimentary breakfast buffet.

  Clean and nice hotel but lacked character

  Hotel was clean. Room was clean and as expected. Drain in shower was not good. Had to ask for more coffee packets everyday. No free coffee in lobby. Lobby/bar area lacked any social comfort. Pool bar area was nice but it seemed like every time we wanted another drink or to pay, we had to wait for bartender to show up again. Except Hawin, he did a good job. It appears bartenders had to go downstairs for food or something. Weren't allowed to lounge in the pool with a drink. Over all, it was a nice place but no social comfort at all.

  The hotel is stunning elegant, clean, and very well-maintained. The rooms were beautiful and extremely comfortable, making our stay relaxing and enjoyable.The staff was always respectful and friendly, especially in the restaurant area. The service was warm, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed every day.We had a wonderful experience and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended! ✨🏨💯

  I stayed at the hotel while travelling in Santa Marta with my family. As a tourist, I didn’t have any idea of places to stay. However, I never regretted choosing this hotel because every staff was welcoming and the suite was pretty tidy! Plus, it’s located in right in front of the beach, which is awesome to appreciate the view.
