Location

This hotel enjoys a picturesque location amidst 900 hectares of rainforest. The entire complex lies above Arenal Lake and affords views out over Arenal, one of the most active volcanoes on earth. La Fortuna is 20 km away and the lake may be reached by car in some 10 minutes.

Facility

The hotel has a lifts and features 45 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a playroom. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services and facilities include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and a fan. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. A kitchenette with a mini fridge, a microwave and a tea/coffee station is also provided as standard. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them.     Amazing natural beauty right outside our room. We had a gorgeous view of Arenal and enjoyed exotic birds, frogs, insects and their amazing sounds all night. Norman = wonderful!team

    Mixed feelings :) but overall great budget resort!

    We enjoyed our stay and the highlight was def the jungle trail which was on property. It was like walking thru an ancient untouched deserted jungle. It was super cool. The back of the property directly off the restaurant leading to the pool was fairly maintained and the inside of the buildings were to. It was IMMACULATE. The staff was wonderful and the food was spectacular and very reasonably priced. I was really disappointed in the level of maintenance to the outside of the buildings, and over all grounds. This place has SUCH incredible potential and could be magical. I am not sue why they have let it go so much, perhaps covid set many of these resorts back. I usually don't stay in budget hotels, so perhaps this is standard for one in which case, this is def worth it.

    I come here and stay on every trip that I make to Costa Rica. All 13 of them. The place is so beautiful and the views are incredible. But do keep in mind that it can be foggy sometimes at the top of the volcano so you might not always get to see it. Don't hold this against the hotel. They have a beautiful Infinity pool and two hot tubs. Beautiful trails. Wonderful people working there.

    Had a a terrible experience with this hotel, spooky place with no staff, no security and no power. Total scam. Pictures are also Deceiving. We went there with our family to find out no power and we were stuck there with no staff, no phones in the rooms or not a single light anywhere. Pitch dark. Not safe at all. Literally we ran as fast as we could out of that place as it was not safe there. I would never ever recommend this hotel to even worst of my enemy it was that bad. And on top of that the owners were horrible as well and were of no help in fact they denied giving refund even though we didn’t stay there not even an hour. No staff there to attend. Horrible literally horrible place ever.

    Just about 2*, but the previous reviewer Lucas is exactly correct. This hotel is horribly dated and tired. Above all else its location is extremely inconvenient at the end of a 2 mile steep windy road, all of which adds up to a very poor choice of hotels in Arenal. Should be £50 a night.
