This Luxury Rainforest Lodge sits atop the foothills of Arenal Volcano where the higher elevation makes for cooler temps and constant breezes that are sure to lure guests outdoors. Guests will admire a front-row view of the towering Arenal Volcano from their Casita deck and spa-plunge pool. Right below the Casitas guests will find paths to explore the surrounding jungle. Hotel's trails are perfect for long walks through spectacular local flora and fauna.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 31 rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities available at the resort include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The resort has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park for no extra charge. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a hairdresser, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Air conditioning and a fan ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the mountain view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. A trouser press is provided for guests' convenience. A telephone, a television with cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Slippers are included. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower. A hairdryer, a vanity mirror and bathrobes are available for daily use. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The resort has non-smoking rooms.

Sport

An invigorating dip in one of the 2 outdoor pools is always worthwhile. A hot tub invites guests to soothe their muscles, and a poolside snack bar will take care of any hungry bellies. A terrace with sun loungers and parasols is available. Active guests can enjoy horse riding. Sport and leisure facilities at the resort include a gym, yoga and aerobics. A spa, a sauna and steam bath are available in the wellness area. The complex offers plenty of activities and entertainment options, including an entertainment programme, a dance club and a nightclub.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a dining room, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Catering options include half board and full board. At breakfast, guests serve themselves at the generous buffet. Various dishes can be ordered à la carte for lunch and dinner. Diet meals and gluten-free meals can be prepared on request. The resort also offers special catering options.

    We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amor Arenal and couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our trip to Costa Rica!From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by how incredible this property was. But what really set Amor Arenal apart was the staff. They were exceptionally warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to make us feel at home.If you’re planning a trip to the Arenal area, look no further.     Beautiful peaceful stay

    We had a lovely time staying here, the rooms were beautiful, secluded and peaceful with private hot tubs and an excellent view of the volcano. Everyone there was very attentive and we were very well looked after! They had a really good list of activities included for free as well as paid excursions, and the food (and cocktails..!) was very impressive.     We stayed for four days as part of our Costa Rican adventure. The casitas are amazing. Large, luxurious and private but built in a traditional lodge style with beautiful hard woods. Our private deck overlooked the rain forest with a perfect view of the volcano. To be wakened each morning by the sound of birds and howler monkeys was a highlight of our holiday. All the staff were courteous, friendly and attentive and although we liked to walk from our casita to restaurant, pools etc. a golf cart often miraculously appeared offering us a ride. A special mention to Ross who took us on an early morning guided tour of the grounds and showed us sloths, monkeys, blue jeans frogs and much more. He gave us lots of interesting information, a lovely young man. My wife had a massage which she enjoyed, particularly the setting as one wall was open and overlooked the forest with the sound of birds as the background to the experience. The food was delicious. Lots of variety and all served beautifully. Large portions for us brits but maybe more american sized. We particularly loved breakfast. Again lots of choices and everything (juices, fruit, pastries, coffee) served to you and presented beautifully. The little on site bakers was great for a light lunch that we took back to enjoy on our terrace. When we were there the La Jaranita bar was empty so lacked atmosphere but we enjoyed sitting at the bar in the restaurant and trying some of the themed cocktails which were delicious - one presented in a bathtub shaped glass with whipped foam as bubble bath. Amor is the best hotel in this type of setting that we have ever stayed at.
