Location

This attractive hotel lies on the road to the volcano. In a short time, guests will reach public transport and nightclubs, both within walking distance. The nearest restaurants are 5 km from the hotel. The town centre is 5 km away and the sea and Fortuna de San Carlos are both 5 km from the hotel. Ciudad Quesada lies 55 km from the hotel.

Facility

Guests have a choice of 3 single rooms and 89 double rooms. Check-in and check-out are possible at any time at the reception desk. Amenities available at the resort include a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The complex has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops, including a souvenir shop. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services include medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus.

Rooms

    Great family visit- something for all ages.

    This is a beautiful and fun resort. We didn't stay the night but were with a tour group we got access to the hot springs. There were several pools of different temperatures. Some were a little too hot for my comfort. The waterslide is fun for kids and there are several nice areas for adults to enjoy rest and relaxation. I didn't see any life guards but there is staff in the resort. Plan to have cash for towel rental. You can also rent a locker I recall it being free. My sister lost he key in one of the pools then had to pay $10 for replacement.

    Fabulous resort for families first trip to Costa Rica

    We stayed for 4 nights, family of 3 and we loved our stay here. The room was spacious and well equipped. We had an amazing view from the back patio and the noise of wildlife from the patio on the first morning when we woke up at 4.30 with jet lag was a surreal experience. The setting for the resort is even more beautiful in real life. It’s in a great location- It feels like you are out in the rainforest but la fortuna town is only 7 mins in an uber and not too far from all the activities around arenal. The buffet breakfast was really good quality and varied each day. The fruit is so much nicer in Costa Rica and we enjoyed the mix of local and international choices.The pool area was perfect to relax in after a day exploring la fortuna/arenal area. We only found it on the last day but there is a little nature walk near the restaurant. The staff were friendly and helpful.I can’t fault our stay here and it was great value for money.

    This review is mainly for whom ever owns the resort. We were booked here via our travel agency and based on the pictures it looked luxurious with well kept rooms and the area as well. Well, when we got to our room, I was honestly disappointed. The room was clean but it is due for some TLC and not well kept. The furniture is very old the bathroom floor is peeling and the mirror was stained with paint? I'm not sure. Let's just say it is time for them rooms to have renovation. I would advise if you want something well updated and we'll kept and you want to stay here, check out the villas?..the people were nice here and tried their best. But honestly, I would not stay here next time.

    Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights, and it was wonderful. Our room was one of the biggest I have ever stayed in - we requested a roll away cot, and I was not expecting a full trundle bed that could be pulled out from underneath the other 2 beds in the room. The view of the Rainforest and Volcano were breathtaking. Our children (ages 6 and 10) loved the pools, the (very fast) water slides and the hot springs. The campus is sprawling, so it was nice that they offer a shuttle as our room was up towards the top of a very long hill.If we find ourselves returning to Costa Rica I would stay here again.

    Our four night stay was fabulous. The pools dreamy and never very crowded. My kids loved the waterslides. I liked that it all looked like a natural landscape and remained fairly quiet. The rooms were large with plenty of space for a family. The pullout trundle bed was perfect for my 11 year old. The breakfast buffet was one of the highlights. You eat fresh fruit and sip coffee while sitting next to the small nature preserve! We stayed in one of the furthest rooms but luckily we had a car to drive to the pools. However, this gave us the best view of the volcano and we really felt like we were in the middle of the jungle. If you don’t have a car it’s okay. My son and I called for the shuttle once and it came within five minutes. The volcano mirador on property should not be missed!I suggest eating at the pool bar instead of the formal restaurant. It’s faster and you can eat in between thermal pool hopping. Most days we spent outside of the resort exploring but made sure to be back by late afternoon to enjoy the amenities.Finally, a huge thank you to the cleaning staff. My son came down with a stomach bug and we needed an immediate cleaning and they came within 15 minutes and were so kind. I would 100% return.
