  We had an amazing stay at Wyndham Tamarindo. The hotel is stunning, and the infinity pool was one of our favorite parts — it’s just incredible. Our room was cozy and welcoming, and the complimentary bottle of wine was a thoughtful touch.The breakfast area is beautifully set up with ocean views, though as vegetarians, we wished there were more vegetarian options available.We loved relaxing in the infinity pool both day and night. Every room has a balcony with a beautiful ocean view, which made the stay even better. The shuttle service to downtown and the beach club was super convenient.They even have a beach club. The beach club was a highlight of our trip. We rented a cabana, enjoyed great food and drinks, and even spotted monkeys. Its location right on Tamarindo Beach is perfect. We truly enjoyed every moment.

  Great Experience - Would Stay Again

  I would def stay here again. Location is 4 minutes from the town and hotel offers a free shuttle. Also - you have access to a beach/pool club that is 6 minutes away with the shuttle, which also has a gym. The infinity pool was already large and great with an amazing sunset, drinks, and lunch food. Staff was very friendly. Rooms were clean with good AC - could use some updates, but fine overall. The only negative is that the free breakfast is not very good.

  Beautiful views, great service, and delicious food. The atmosphere was very relaxing, and we were really happy with the selection. The hotel also has an assigned beach club, which is very, very good. We had a great time.

  Wyndham Tamarindo 2.5Warched a YouTube video of man who definitely oversold the Wyndham. Room looks like a holiday inn. It was clean and basic. We didn’t have wash cloths in our room upon arrival and there was as dirty cup in the bathroom sink. There is no complimentary water or robes. The hotel is relaxing and fairly quiet, respectful guest. The view is nice (3.5/5), it’s too far the beach to hear the waves or travel by foot to the beach. There’s no way to walk to the beach from the hotel. There’s a lovely pool and nice view. If you desire a basic modern clean hotel room pool getaway with a nice view, this is the good option for you. As needed you can a shuttle to the town or beach. Free breakfast: 1/5The breakfast was terrible and completely self service. You get the silverware, napkins, and salt and pepper at odd places on the buffet bar. It was one of the worse breakfast we’ve ever experienced. Eggs looked like diarrhea waiting to happen. The plantains and French toast were good. The fruit taste a little off. Beach club access 4/5The Langosta beach club access is nice but not enough to make me stay there. The shuttle driver was amazing. He provided recommendations and made sure we understood the schedule and pickup locations. Nice place to grab lunch and watch the sunset. There’s a mini bar with items for purchase. Appreciated the water stations. Bring a reusable water bottle to Costa Rica. There is no price point to make this hotel desirable as we would rather be closer to the main strip to walk around or hear waves crashing at night.

  Fabulous Pool and Staff

  The views, pool, staff and restaurant were amazing!! Knocking stars due to the maintenance of the rooms. When we checked it into our room it was in such poor condition we went directly to the front desk to change rooms. The curtains were a mess, lights burnt out and the toilet paper holder fell off the wall immediately. Also the air conditioner was loud and must not have been working well, as the room was so hot. The second room we moved to was great! Management needes to do an intensive review of the rooms.
