This airport hotel is located 5 min from San Jose International Airport and 15 min from downtown San Jose in the area known as Alajuela. Shopping facilities can be found close to the hotel in the form of the City Mall Alajuela and Plaza Cariari shopping centres. The hotel is surrounded by a botanical garden and offers easy access to the main road allowing a trip to the beautiful beaches of the Costa Rican Central Pacific.

Facility

24 non-smoking rooms are located on 2 storeys and can be reached by lift. The reception desk is open round the clock. A cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. A number of shops, including a souvenir shop, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air.     Safe, Clean, Airport Hostel-Style Travelers Hotel

    If you're looking for an affordable and clean place to stay close to SJO, this is it!Highlights: Clean rooms, friendly staff, free breakfast, great gastro pub attached, food was amazing. One FREE shuttle ride per visit. Some rooms have three beds situated in a spacious room with a/c!Cons: I traveled in a group of women and carrying our luggage up the steps to the second floor was doable, but tough. I would request a first floor level when I make my reservation for next time. The breakfast filled our bellies up but do not expect anything fancy. Many travelers are arriving late at night or leaving very early in the morning. We arrived around 11 PM and settled in quickly, but were awaken around 4 AM by early departure travelers. Additionally, when we returned to stay the night prior to departure, we were exhausted and had to be up at 4AM to catch our flight. Some travelers just arrived, and decided to socialize in the lobby area, very close to our room, and we could hear them carrying on. Again, this has nothing to do with the service, just want to set the expectation that this is not a luxury hotel meant for rest and rejuvenation. Be aware that this place serves mainly as a landing/departure spot for travelers coming in and out of SJO and plan accordingly. At about 4km from the airport, it couldn't be more convenient. We enjoyed a free shuttle ride to the hostel/hotel and then used an Uber to get us to the car rental place (Adobe) in the morning (also conveniently located) and headed down to Quepos. Do NOT miss out on the restaurant attached-great vibes, great food, and they make a variety of their own beers-I had a guava gose' and it was delicious!

    Great Small Hotel

    This is a great small hotel only 4 kilometers from the airport. It was a short 15 minute drive. The rooms are large, clean and have a view of the pool. The staff was all exceptional, smiling, and eager to help. The small restaurant delivered excellent meals for the two nights we stayed there. Not flamboyant but just good food served with a smile. Rates were very good - about half the name brand hotels.

    I booked a room here for one night only and specifically booked myself there to have airport transport. As instructed on the website I emailed my flight information and requested transport. I heard nothing from them and (my fault) I didn’t follow up. Of course no transport arrived and after more than an hour I called the hotel and was told there was no transport coming. I took a taxi to the hotel and the same clerk told me they sent me an email (not received, I checked my spam folder) from a different email address (not the one I sent and the one is on the website). The clerk dismissively told me that the website’s email address wasn’t the correct email one on the website (though my email was received). Mostly, the clerk seemed to think all this was my fault. I also had paid for a breakfast but my pickup time the next morning was changed so I was too early for breakfast. I asked at checkup the previous night if I could be refunded that amount and was rejected. That was not a big deal and not a big expense, it was just, as I said, dismissive attitude. I could say that the clerk was at least pleasant when she blew me off.

    Affordable hidden gem near airport

    Our student group has stayed here multiple times - most recently in January 2025. The hotel is close to the airport and with a free shuttle and breakfast included. The rooms are simple and clean and they have rooms with 3 beds. The hotel is very affordable and good value and good customer service that is very responsive. They even have a pool if you want to have a dip. The attached restaurant is also great for casual supper. Definitely happy to have found this hidden gem (literally tucked in an industrial area that at first makes you think maybe you are in the wrong place). Good launching place for daytrip to La Paz waterfall gardens too.

    Hotel is much further from the airport than it appears to be because you have to go past it and come back and the tiny road next to the highway is long and bumpy. Also the rooms are not soundproof and with it being an airport hotel people are coming and going all hours so a good night's sleep is challenging. I could hear every word of the conversation of the people in the room next to me through the walls. The rooms are okay but not great. It's just really not that comfortable. Though the staff I experienced were super friendly and helpful and were the best thing about this hotel.
