Location

This hotel is ideally located in a quiet residential area of San José, only about 5 minutes from the town centre. It is only a few minutes to the Costa Rica Art Museum, La Sabana Metropolitan Park, and to countless restaurants and shopping centres. Juan Santamría airport can be reached in approximately 15 minutes.

Facility

The hotel has 84 rooms, including 10 suites and 72 double rooms, which are located on 3 storeys and are reachable by a lift. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are happy to answer any questions. A baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and drinks machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Complimentary newspapers are available. A fax machine is available for guests' business needs.

Rooms

Rooms feature a living room and a bathroom. Air conditioning ensures comfortable temperatures. Guests have garden view from the balcony or terrace, which are standard features of some rooms. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Guests will also find a tea/coffee station included among the standard features. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a TV, a radio, an alarm clock and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. Bathrooms are equipped with a shower and a bathtub, as well as a hairdryer. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms with wheelchair-accessible bathrooms are also available. The hotel has family rooms, non-smoking rooms and smoking rooms.

Sport

The sports and entertainment facilities at the hotel ensure that guests have plenty of activities to choose from during their stay. The indoor and outdoor pools are ideal for exercise as well as relaxation. A short break or an entire afternoon on the sun terrace, which features sun loungers and parasols, is time well spent.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a café and a bar. Half board is offered as a catering option. A generous breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner offer plenty of delicious variety.     This was a nice functional hotel we stayed in at the beginning and end of our trip to Costa Rica.The first night was a larger room with a seating area.On return trip we were put in a smaller room.#244 and the bathroom window was adjacent to a wiring closet which was a bit loud as the have the top sliding windows open to outdoor hallway in both rooms for ventilation.Both clean and comfortable.The second room the hot water in shower could have been warmer.Staff at front desk was very nice and accommodating.The restaurant was convenient and food was fine. Restaurant staff was great!Breakfast was really nice.I will say our first stay we received a coupon for a percentage off dinner and not given one on the return trip, didn’t think about it until wait staff asked.Overall pleasant stay.It’s a nice safe and clean hotel but honestly with traffic was 30 plus minute drive from SJO.     Modern hotel, 20 minute walking distance from the core of San Jose

    Last stop on the Intrepid Tour, located a 15 to 20 minute walk from the centre of San Jose. Modern hotel, clean rooms, nice pool and common area, with a reasonable breakfast. Hotel staff very helpful.     Great home base for your trip.

    These are solid 3 star accommodations. This was the start and end point for our G Adventures trip around the country. The room had comfortable beds, lots of shelves, nice bathroom, hot water. Like many hotels in Central America the hallways are open to a courtyard and can be noisy when groups are leaving early or arriving late. Bring earplugs. The hotel cleaners started around 8 a.m. which meant happy but loud noises if you are planning on sleeping in. The front desk are very friendly but recommended restaurants downtown which turned out to be touristy and expensive. There were better and more authentic options one street over from the touristy stuff. The restaurant at the hotel is fine and is a nice place to sit poolside with a drink or at night. The only problem we had was on our last night. We were given a room adjacent to the street and by the front door. This wasn't good. That room should really be a storage room. It was incredibly noisy until the wee hours of the morning and started up again early in the day.     Comfortable three star hotel.

    We were booked there for two nights prior to joining a tour and were generally pleased with the stay. Initial impressions were of friendly helpful staff and comfortable accommodation. The location isn’t very central and there didn’t seem to be much of interest in the immediate vicinity but it’s only a 10 minute taxi ride to the downtown area. We found the room to be very brightly lit at night because of glass panels above the door letting in the light from the landing. Breakfast was not the most sophisticated, mainly cooked elements and fruit, but was included. There’s a happy hour at the bar where we enjoyed a two for one gin and tonic. Guacamole and tortilla chips made for a good snack and the restaurant menu was reasonable.     Unexpected gem after travelling through Central America for 5 weeks. This hotel feels more like a mini resort after you have been travelling for weeks. It's a great place to relax before boarding the long haul flights home.
