    It’s ok for the price you get, staff is nice and you have decent service.It’s very basic and that yellow is a punch in the face…I’d say it’s slightly above basic, it’s good for a night if you’re passing by, but not more than that.

    This is the worst piece of garbage I have ever stayed I the size is for a 6 year old . I see you get what you pay for not much different no coffee machine no refrigerator no microwave should of know when the hotel looked like a ghost town Marriott should be ashamed of this garbage and even upgraded then was told not available with a confirmation take my experience never stay here pay the extra 20 dollars garbage garbage garbage don’t let. You write what you really feel

    There is No free shuttle service , even the hotel advertised for a free airport shuttle, the cost is $20./Each way. The Location is 15 minutes from the airport. There is nothing to do around the hotel, except some restaurants. The room is available, but you have to wait til 3pm or pay extra $20 for early arrival.

    Frontier Airlines cancelled our flights and put us up in this hotel for 1 night. Check in was fast. The room and bath were below average condition. Snack machine and beverage machine very low on supplies. I would not stay here again if I had a choice.

    Worst hotel management and customer service in Costa Rica.

    First of all City Express San José in the Cariari neighborhood is not near the airport. Even though they claim it’s 10 minutes away that’s if you arrive at midnight with no traffic. It’s going to take 30 minutes with traffic and sometimes more.I have stayed at this hotel for weeks at a time and never had problems. This is a hotel with little to no amenities but for the most part it was always priced accordingly. Marriott recently bought city express but I’m not sure if that has anything to do with the fact that city express is a revolving door right now with employees. My most recent stay was probably the worst ever. Recently most employees working the front desk quite or got fired. New employees are awful have no skills dealing with people or understand their own system. I was constantly being told I owed them for 2 nights even though it wasn’t true. I checked out and left my bags with them because I had a meeting to attend. When I returned they claimed I owed one night and that I had to pay or they would not give me my luggage. I had to beg to get one of my bags so i could find the payment receipt. The manger was involved who called another manager and even after I proved to them I had payed they where still skeptical. New management and employees are awful people. Stay away from city Express other hotels in the area are cheaper and offer better amenities.
