    The money it’not worth to stay, it’s very old and property with not enough better infrastructure and amenities

    In general, the hotel did not meet my expectations, the room is very small and the bed is not very comfortable, the bathroom is something so strange and so small, nothing interesting. There are many damages already from the use that could be changed, old furniture and nothing pleasant. The only good thing about the visit was the kindness of Liz the manager and her welcome, in addition to the bar, the music and the host Jordys the Cuban very friendly and all the staff very attentive ..., but in advance the property needs changes immediately an extreme investment, excellent locationIn my opinion I would return to visit the bar but to stay impossible, better recommendation is to book another place with better accommodation alternatives. I wouldn't recommend it to stay to sleep, it's too deteriorated and old.

    The perfect hotel for an LGBTQ guest that wants a friendly, informal, and relaxed experience from a hotel.

    This hotel is the only LGBTQ friendly in all San Jose that I know of. It was going through some renovation after being mishandled by a previous owner. The original owner had taken it over and was working hard to bring it back to where it should be, so, there were rough edges to be sure. However the people that work there were so friendly, and so helpful, I didn't feel like I was at a hotel. I felt like I was hanging out with people I enjoy being around for a few days, which to me if far more valuable than a first class hotel. The pool was nice, the bar somewhat active with a few locals every night, and the room was fine for someone who isn't too picky and just wants a comfortable, quiet place to sleep when traveling. Bonus points: the bartender was cute and could sing like no one was watching.

    Some reviews are too harsh on this place. Yes, it needs a renovation in places, but this was a friendly and comfortable LGBT base for us to spent a couple of nights in San Jose. All staff were friendly and helpful, arranging things like airport transfers and massages, easily contactable by WhatsApp ahead of our stay. Our room was clean. Food and drinks (especially breakfast) were very good, and the pool area is beautiful, with lots of tropical plants.

    Great Gay Hotel in San Jose Costa Rica

    Great Gay Friendly hotel in San Jose. The staff are amazing, always helpful in making our stay more pleasant - this is the second time we have stayed at the hotel.It is not not a 5* hotel, but the rooms have all the necessities. When I travel for work I stay at one of the major brands in San Jose and pay over $200 per night - here the average rate is around $65-$75 per night. The bar is great (Eric makes amazing drinks) and the food is also very good.Yes there are a few dated things and yes the are some repairs to be made... But that happens at all hotels.This is a great location - great atmosphere - and like minded people.

    I stayed there for three nights. I was not looking for luxury so wasn’t expecting the taj majal. I was booked for four nights but left a night early. The staff was nice but the property is in such disrepair. My room had no hot water in shower, the safe wasn’t operational, the electrical was so dangerous I didn’t even charge my phone or other electronics into it. My room was towards the back and had a strange common area that it shared with another room which didn’t lock. How this is even rated other than price is beyond me. Yes, it’s a gay hotel and I am gay and it is Costa Rica, but the mattress/bedding/towels were all sub par, and the entire hotel needs a good power washing and facelift. Will not be coming back.
