    Air conditioning turns off at night

    The air conditioning is programmed to turn off at night despite it sounding like it’s running. Only the fan is running, not the compressor. Management cannot and will not do anything about it. Unless you enjoy sleeping in a room that is 20 degrees hotter than outside, avoid this place at all cost. The AC works fine during the day, but the system (not local thermostat) programming make the rooms a sweat fest at night. Management is unsympathetic and lackluster at response. I am here for work and only need a cool, comfortable place to stay…this place is not it. Two nights of no sleep due to sweating.     Extremely Bias Behavior

    My nephew stayed there while on a soccer competition. The service was decent until two days before his team was scheduled for a match against Costa Rica; the service changed significantly from decent to horrible. The staff no longer wanted to feed his team, and the team basically had to beg to be fed. In addition, the hotel began providing lots of dessert instead of the regular nutritious meals that the team had enjoyed prior to the competition nearing. Their goal was to make the players as unhealthy as possible leading to the competition against their home team. That was horrible; it was expected for them to support their home team but not to deliberately hold off on providing the amenities which includes food that the team had paid for and were entitled to.     Worst hotel experience in Costa Rica, stay clear.

    Worst hotel experience in Costa Rica, and we’ve visited many. We booked via Booking a room for 2 adults and 2 children, we arrived after a terribly long drive in heavy traffic, only to find that the room we got had 2 queen beds, definitely not for 4 people. I’ve gone to the front desk to ask for a room with larger beds or to add another room , it was not possible because the hotel was fullly booked. The front desk staff admitted that the room was not for 4 people and they did not know why the system allowed such reservation. I had to find another hotel and asked Hilton staff to cancel the room and was shocked to learn that despite all this they will charge me for 1 night because I have already checked in. ( even though we did not see the room earlier and did not stay there longer then 5 minutes). Staff is very rude and does not care about customer satisfaction, the person welcoming guests outside the hotel does not speak a single word in English. We’ve stayed in many hotels in Costa Rica but have never been treated this way, this place is a joke.     Good overnight hotel

    Good place for a tour group transition to a longer stay in Costa Rica. Staff friendly, rooms clean and comfortable, but carpet could use an update. Fresh linens and coffee in room. Convenient to local restaurants within walking distance. Not much of a pool. Weight room nice. Bar was ok. Breakfast was good. Good security.
