Intergirty at Hotel Villa San Ignacio, Costa Rica Alajuela

My husband and I stayed at Villa San Ignacio, Hotel and Restaurant our first days of our month long Birding trip to Costa Rica. The room where we stayed, restaurant, staff and grounds surrounding the villas was, clean, delicious, friendly, helpful and beautiful! We even saw a Mot-mot and summer Tanager! Besides VSI being a fun and enjoyable stay, we also were extremely happy because of the INTEGRITY of the Housekeeping Lady, Yolanda. We departed from Villa San Ignacio to the next location 3 hours away and noticed we had a phone call from a staff member informing us, that Housekeeping found my husband's wallet in the room! The staff called within 10 minutes after our departure, but we did not notice the call. The staff kept the wallet in their safe until we stopped by to pick it up at the end of the trip. All money, credit cards and credentials still there as it was before our trip. We met Yolanda and the staff member with big hugs and a reward for their intergrity. We are very thankful to Yolanda and the staff at Villa San Ignacio. We highly recommend staying at Villa San Ignacio for a vacation at a lovely place that is trustworthy and cares for their guests. 2 Nights in Geodesic Dome!

We kicked-off our 8 day Costa Rican adventure with 2 nights at Villa San Ignacio in the Geodesic Dome. The property itself is quaint, boutique and full of charm. The pool perfect for a moment of serenity and relaxation, the walking trails just long enough to explore but not get lost, and the restaurant tasty in both food and drink. Our only ding on the dome was lack of air conditioning, but once the evening cools down the fresh air was great. Friendly staff and overall great stay!!!

Beautiful rustic estate, comfortable beds, excellent food and cocktails. Excellent easy birding location. We were so happy to see the Fiery-billed Acarari. Super cute! 🥰
