Our stay at Villa Galijot was mostly a disappointment. Such a shame for such a beautiful location. To begin with, the Galeone restaurant in front of the hotel is a complete rip-off: €18 for a pizza made with the cheapest ingredients, €4 for a terrible coffee, and card payments only allowed above €20. The resort has just one ATM, which charges a €5 fee. The waiters were unbelievably rude. The level of disrespect and the feeling of being scammed at every step is just absurd. The coffee in the hotel bar was awful, the rooms were poorly cleaned (floors were not cleaned during daily service – something I have never experienced anywhere else), and even the waiters in the hotel restaurant acted arrogant. The room smelled musty. However the front office staff was very professional, kind and helpful.Honestly, the only positives were the location, the clear sea, and the nice pool with comfortable sunbeds. But that is simply not enough for €270 per night. This was our first and definitely our last time with Plava Laguna.

A 3 star hotel
01 May 2023
This is definetely a 3 star hotel, if not 2. I don't know why it should have 4 stars. When we came to our room, we have noticed, that from the entrance to the bathroom floors were not cleaned at all. Fabric floors the are from the 90s have seen a lot in the past and are obviously difficult to clean. There was something that looked like a pubic hair in the sink and some yellow drops seen in the sink. As if someone came into the room to let it go in the sink. There were ants in the bathroom. Waiter in the restaurant seemed unhappy and were quite arrogant, if you didn't order enough drink at the dinner. If you don't order drink at the dinner (there is no free drink available, not even tap water), you become a laughing stock for the waitresses as the word seems to get around very quickly. A price for 0,33 l bottled water was 2,4 €, which I think is A LOT. As some have written before, the hotel is in superb location, on the outside very well maintaned, but it desperately needs a renovation. I knew beforehand, that the toilet is very loud to flush, so it didn't surprise us, when we came. Food in the restaurant was average. Bed were wery stiff and the pillows are too full for comfort.

Cosy location but a dated hotel
15 Aug 2022
I have been to Vila Laguna several times, most recently a week ago. The location is unique, cozy and homely. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel and its surroundings are very clean and tidy. he only drawback of the hotel is the rooms, which are a bit dated and small. I noticed that there are different rooms available for the same price (especialy sea view rooms). Some have a larger balcony, others a larger room the third rooms has a small balcony and a small room - they are like classic rooms but you pay as a superior rooms. A wide selection of dishes is available for breakfast and dinner, but up to 30 min. before closing. Then they slowly start to clean and they don't supplement the offers. The beach is well-kept with plenty of shade but you have to make an effort to get sunbeds. There are not many and they are already reserved early in the morning. The sunbeds are for a little charge (20 kn). I think the price of the hotel is suitable for the quality, so overall the hotel is ok.
