Situated overlooking a beautiful cove with a sandy floor, and surrounded by a tranquil pinewood, the hotel is just 10 minutes' walk from the old town centre of medieval Krk. Shops, restaurants, bars and public transport are all within around 500 m of the hotel.

19 suites and 173 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by lift. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access in public areas allows guests to stay connected. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. There are a number of shops, including a supermarket and souvenir shop. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden.     Very disappointing experience so far at Sunny Krk by Valamar.We have only been here for one day, and unfortunately the first impression has been extremely poor. The room we received is dark, with very little natural light, and feels far below what we expected for a holiday hotel.What shocked me the most was that housekeeping entered our room without knocking. During the incident, one person from our group was hit by the door and ended up with a bruise. The lack of professionalism afterwards was just as concerning as the incident itself. We informed reception, but the response felt dismissive.The overall hygiene and presentation of the hotel also leave much to be desired. Beach towels are rented for an additional fee and are handed over looking untidy and poorly maintained. The service is also strange in ways I have never experienced before. For example, if you want a sparkling lemonade, you are expected to purchase both a lemonade and a separate bottle of sparkling water and effectively prepare it yourself.Unfortunately poor service, privacy issues, questionable hygiene standards, and a generally low-quality experience is what we witnessed in this hotel.The most worrying part is that this is only our first day. Instead of looking forward to the rest of our vacation, I am concerned about what the next days will bring.Definitely cannot recommend this place to anyone.     We stayed 7 nights last year with breakfast and dinner. The food was extremely delicious with a huge amount of different things so everyone could enjoy their meal. The bedroom was very clean and big. At first there was a weird smell in the room but without the A/C it got better after a time. The pool were pretty big and clean but without lots of children. I would highly recommend this hotel and we would visit it again. Thanks for the nice stay!
