The surroundings of the hotel offer an ideal environment for skiing. The hotel offers numerous indoor sports, including a gym, table tennis, yoga and aerobics or, for a fee, billiards. There is a wellness area with a spa, a steam bath, a beauty salon, massage treatments and anti-ageing treatments. Subject to charge: a sauna. Leisure facilities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club, live music and a dance club.

Meals

The hotel includes a restaurant and a bar. A variety of catering options can be booked. Guests can choose between half board and full board. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available.     I give the Hotel Bluesun Maestral five stars for its wonderful modernist design and beautiful setting in lovely Brela. The hotel is surrounded by groves of pine trees and fronts an endless stretch of very swimmable beaches and a promenade that runs for several miles. The hotel building itself is an architectural gem, recently restored from its early 60s heyday. Our room was comfortable and the dining room food was excellent. There's a nice pool, and a beach club with lounge chairs closer to the sea (though we were unsure why we needed to pay extra to sit at the latter location.)The hotel doesn't offer too much more in the way of services, but no matter: We were just grateful to have it as a base to explore this very pretty part of Croatia, and we thoroughly enjoyed a happy, peaceful few days there.One thing to note: There are a few other Bluesun hotels in Brela. The Maestral appears to be a bit smaller than the others, but I'd still choose it, just for the simple perfection of its historic design.

    Lovely quiet hotel in a stunning setting

    Brela is quite simply beautiful. It appears to be a town where Croatians holiday themselves which tells you what you need to know. Chilled vibes, stunning setting. In terms of hotel Maestral, lots of positives. Clean, well presented hotel supported by many staff who work hard to make your stay pleasant. And amazing sea views! As it’s only a small hotel it’s lovely and quiet too and only a walk down the stairs to the beach. The breakfast is very good, however we didn’t enjoy our only evening meal here, preferring to explore local restaurants and bars. La Bomba and Konoba Feral were both excellent. The hotels beach club is a very relaxing place to sit and have a drink under an olive tree, however the service there was very poor each time we visited with the staff making no apology for giving rubbish service. Compared to the pressure the waiting staff in the hotel are under, with a manager looking on whilst they run around serving guests this seems inequitable to us and perhaps management should instead supervise the beach club staff. Overall, a wonderful stay and we would definitely visit Brela again and likely stay at the Maestral again too.

    Awesome Holiday Experience!!!

    We had a great family time at the Bluesun resort in Brela, Croatia. Ms. Ana Medic, the resort manager was just amazing. She was wonderful and made sure our stay was fantastic throughout our holiday at the hotel. The hotel is great and the location is simply amazing! It's right next to the beach and accessing the Adriatic sea is so much easy from the resort. The promenade next to the hotel is great, with some nice eateries around the place. The hotel is super clean and has been recently renovated. Everything was nice about the hotel including the breakfast which was very lavish and had a great spread. My daughter had a great time too as there is so much to do for kids in the hotel including great arts and crafts workshop. We would love to come back here for our next holiday in Croatia. Highly recommended!

    An average hotel with beautiful views, close to local bars and restaurants let down by poor customer service.

    This hotel is just average! The hotel is 'Beige' no colour anywhere except around the pool area which is full of 'agapanthus,' other than that totally soulless. The staff all look miserable and barely make eye contact. They have a no towels on sunbeds policy which they don't enforce at all, Music is too loud on the speaker system around sunbeds, which is annoying especially when live music happening in the hotel beach bar close by. No TUI rep in the hotel or any contact. Transfer bus dropped at hotel entrance on arrival but when we left we had to lug our cases up a very steep incline to a waiting mini bus , hotel staff didn't even say goodbye or look up, when we left and we never complained once to them, so had no reason to be like this ! No entertainment in the hotel at all! Make sure you pay for Sea View room or you will look over a car park. Bring your own beach towel as the one they give you barely covers the bed! We had to ask every day for a week for English Breakfast Tea which is easily available in shops close by. It arrived the day we left!Good Points - Location is wonderful, set back from very overcrowded beach, lovely promenade to lots of bars, restaurants and shops . Croatia is beautiful and although we were let down by this hotel for reasons above , it was actually one of the better hotels in that area, hotel next door to us had 500 rooms and 100 sunbeds, all jammed next to each other, and the one the other side of us - had no pool at all so everyone hit the tiny beach.We did have a beautiful pool, marvellous views which we paid £400 extra for as we were there for 14 days and the hotel was clean and had a marvellous smell in public areas.
