    Lovely hotel, big light and airy rooms

    Large modern rooms in a large modern hotel. Helpful staff, good amenities, very nice breakfast, lots of luxury touches - the oil and vinegar are very fancy. It’s a short walk into town, the quickest way being on a pedestrian path that runs past a play park which isn’t that well lit. Split is a very safe town, so once you decompress from the safety concerns you have in the UK, you realise this is actually a very pleasant walk. It is near to a very shallow sand beach for swimming.The hotel looks like it was designed in the style of Zara Hadid and is light and spacious, but somewhat incongruous in Split where the architecture is mostly ancient (centre), late Victorian to WW2 (around the ancient centre) or hideous soviet era flats with a sprinkling of newer buildings (around the hotel and everywhere else).

    Cool aesthetic vibe hotel. Room was nice and clean but shower leaking all over the floor was unavoidable, and the safe was broken. Good breakfast buffet. Convenient location to the beach and old town. Unfortunately the staff all felt cold and unfriendly. We stayed three nights and didn’t even know they would offer freshly made breakfast until the final morning because no one had approached us previously until then. We had booked two nights and then added a third and reached out a week prior to ask them to combine the stays so we could ensure not having to move rooms, and no one ever responded to us. Asked again and staff did it at check in but was never aware of me reaching out in advance.

    We only spent one night and it could not have been nicer. A hotel that doubles as an art museum. Walking distance to the old town and port. The breakfast included a nice selection of tasty options. The friendly and attentive staff made the experience special.

    Great hotel, very close to the beach. The room is spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was excellent. I would definitely come back.

    Fantastic evening in Hotel Briig!

    Last night we were at the "Pasta, Wine and Cheese Evening" event at the Briig Hotel restaurant in Split, Croatia. It was fantastic. Champagne was served to start, and we started with a buffet full of selected cheeses. After that, 4 pastas were served. The first three were extremely delicious and the last one prepared in a Parmesan cheese ring was spectacular. Everything was accompanied by excellent wines from Skaramus. The surprise of the evening was their Crljenak (Zifandel). TOP. This is the first time that a winemaker from Pelješac has made wine from grapes that are mainly grown on the slopes of Kozjak in Kaštela. The service was excellent. The waiters tried to make us feel comfortable and everything was done with pleasant and unobtrusive music by an excellent singer. The hall was super decorated. All in all, an experience to remember. However, at the end, a small complaint. I paid by card and wanted to leave a tip for the waiters, but the card system does not support it.
