    Floating above the palace, ensconced in quiet and comfort

    This is a stunning location. Right above a quiet small restaurant, tucked away but footsteps into Diocletian Palace. Well apportioned kitchen, comfortable bed, A/C, warm/hot shower, quiet, beautifully simple. I would stay a thousand times over, it just was perfect

    A perfect location and a perfect stay. Guesthouse Imperator is beautiful, quiet and has brilliant air conditioning (an absolute must with the heat). It’s a wonderful place to stay; easy to find and so central to everything Split has to offer. I would definitely stay here again.

    Great location, right in the heart of the town centre. The room was comfortable, had air conditioning and a good shower. There was also a safe and fridge. I was a bit concerned that I seemed to have cafes/restaurants either side of me, but the windows were double glazed so there wasn’t too much noise.I booked through Booking.Com for two nights, this was my first experience booking a “room” and I had other places booked in the same way as I travelled down to Dubrovnik, via Hvar and Korcula. As a female solo traveller, I felt so safe and valued the central location.I was welcomed on arrival - and as I was early they were super kind and let me drop my bag off and use the loo even though they were still cleaning the room. I got some great hints and tips - including the tip to use Kasjuni Beach as it’s a bit further away (but easy by bus/taxi) and beautiful spot to swim/chill out!

    The rooms were a wonderful size and the best was very comfortable. The air condition was great as well. The shower was powerful. The apartment is right where you want to be in Split with lots of great bars, restaurants and historical sights practically on your door step. The only negative I have is that we had to pay cash a fact I wasn’t made aware of before booking otherwise I would’ve paid in advance online.

    Fatal treatment. We had a book for our holidays in that apartment and when we arrived very tired because of the trip, we realized that the apartment were closed, then we tried to contact with them and the owner said to us that the book was cancelled? Because they sent us a email 12h before the trip, we tried to answer them as soon as we could but after all, they cancelled our book and they didn’t give us any solution. Very bad experience. I DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
