Hidden gem -truly amazing and outstanding!

I celebrated my birthday and stayed for 4 days, with friends. It was absolutely amazing! The location is perfect and in beautiful surroundings. The hotel manager Jelica is an absolute star! Jelica goes above and beyond to accommodate and assist. I want to come back. Next time, will definitely be for a longer period of time, to explore more. It felt like home away from home. Would absolutely recommend Hotel Antica!

We had a wonderful time at Hotel Antica made that much more special by Jelica and her team. The hotel is about to undertake a major renovation which will make it the 5* it’s setting and staff deserve. We will watch with interest to see how it develops

From the room, to the view, from food to the service, everything was extremely beautiful and set for our pleasure. Mrs. Jelica was phenomenal and always on yours service, no matter what time it is. If you looking for place in which you be spoiled and everything is set to pleasure yours needs, Antica is that place.

Amenities & cleanliness - Hotel has nice communal spaces (including pool & loungers) but the rooms are very outdated and not clean (eg water in toilet brush holder, soap across bathroom). Would not say that the price of the rooms is reflective of the quality. Breakfast - was included in the price for us and variety of options but quality was poor. Staff - nice staff but didn’t have much helpful information about the local area (eg tried to charge us €40 for a taxi to Hvar old town claiming this was a good rate but the normal rate at port is €30/35. Also didn’t know about buses or ferry times from Stari Grad even though hotel located next to the port & bus stop. Location - nice quiet location next to ferry port. 20 min walk into Starri Grad. Overall - would not say this is value for money. There was a blurred line between space for the manager & what we assumed was her family (may not be permanent residents we weren’t sure)

The best way to experience Havar

Wow - so glad we came out of Havar to stay here ! It’s a small hotel with a pool, fab breakfast and the friendliest of top class care and guidance by Jelica ! She made us all so welcome, advising on restaurants , places to go , making us local cocktails and ad hoc bbq when the rain was terrible ! She even drove us to collect e-bikes and drew out the 22km route - it was our favourite day of our 2 week tour of Croatia absolutely stunning scenery Looking forward to coming to see the new hotel extensionThankyou from all of us for looking after us so well
