    Truly FAB-U-LOUS!

    Just returned from a truly FAB-U-LOUS week in Croatia; stayed at the Plaza Duce Hotel near Omis, (a picturesque town, with a backdrop of a mountainous gorge, where the Cetina River spills into the sea) The only problem is having to return to work! Having said that, the consistently scruptious food would have resulted in too much weight gain! The staff at the Plaza duce were, without exception - EXCEPTIONAL. A few special mentions; in the restaurant, Daniel, Sandra, Marina and Iva who were all warm, friendly, funny, welcoming, knowledgeable (about the wine!). On reception, Stephen - a warm, friendly welcome on check in, and Anna - who sorted out a dental appointment for me in my hour of need. The hotel is in a great location, a short bus ride or coastal walk to Omis; which is an interesting fusion of ancient medieval narrow streets along with more modern soviet era architecture. Also it was easy to get the bus, taking about an hour, to Split. The hotel room, (on the 9th floor) was beautifully appointed/spotlessly clean, with the biggest bathroom I have ever seen. The sea views are spectacular and (from that floor) the road is completely hidden. The pool areas (both inside at the wellness centre and outside on the huge roof terrace) are perfect. The beach, just across the road, has a little beach bar, however be aware that there is a charge of €15 to use a sunlounger. I will return to the Plaza Duce and highly recommend this gem of a hotel to all my friends and family.

    Amazing hotel and amazing staff.

    This hotel is absolutely outstanding and one of the best we have ever stayed at. We stayed in a deluxe room on the top floor and had stunning views of the sea . The restaurant with buffet breakfast and evening meal were amazing . Everything you could ever want to eat covering all tastes and cuisine. An abundance of fresh fruit , wonderful salads, fish, shell fish , squid, octopus, lamb, steak, pork, chicken. Pasta, rice, chips , fresh vegetables and pizza. The beach is just over the road from the hotel with its beach bar. The sea is so clear so inviting and we really enjoyed going in it each day. We would recommend swimming shoes only because at the edge of the sea there is a line of small pebbles before entering the sea. We enjoyed live singers on a few occasions on the roof bar which was a lovely place to sit and have an evening drink. The attention to detail and the work ethic of the staff is truly exceptional . We cannot thank you all enough for making our holiday perfect and one of the best we have been on.     Lovely hotel , staff , and facilities

    This hotel has everything you could wish for, the rooms are large and spacious and spotlessly clean.The views are lovely, we stayed on the 6th floor and had a great view of the surrounding area.It takes a little getting used to the lifts only going to certain floors due to the design of the hotel and how it is set into the hillside at the back ,but easily solved The main restaurant is buffet style and has a very good selection of food and friendly staffMy only criticism is that this isn’t Adults only, there is very little for children and unfortunately we had to suffer a family with two children who tried to take over the pool with screaming and shouting , not very relaxing, however this is no reflection on the hotel at all just inconsiderate guests It is easy to access Omiš, we went in several times using the bus and it pays to use the Promis App for payment, easy to use and buses at regular times All Staff always willing to help especially reception staff.Lots of thoughtful touches such as umbrella in the room, shoe horn, clothes brush, rooms cleaned every day,even electrically operated curtains! And of course excellent air conditioning!     Splendid stay in a suoerb hotel

    One of those holidays where everything goes to plan! We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Plaza Duće, near Omiš, in Croatia in late May. This hotel deserves so much credit, not just for the superb scenes from glorious rooms ( we did go for a superior room on floor 12 specifically because of the views promised - and we were not let down. But also for the amenities, the lovely pool and adequately seated and spacious sun lounger area and for the food in the main restaurant area. Most of all we must applaud the magnificent, customer facing staff. The whole team seemed focused on guest satisfaction and were always helpful, cheerful, knowledgeable and courteous.     Just come back from the best week staying at this hotel. It is spotlessly clean, the hotel staff are so friendly and lovely especially Iva and Antonio. We had half board and the food was always good with something to keep everyone happy. The pool bar area was fantastic, lots of sun loungers and places to sit and relax, the pool also has a jacuzzi which was really nice. This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend. It’s very easy to get into Omiš for some restaurants and shopping and exploring the old town via bus or taxi, you can also easily get into Split for some exploring as well.
