  Flawless hotel with stunning sea view - exceeded all our expectations

  We were beyond happy with everything. Perfect location, stunning sea view from our room (highly recommend this option), beautiful interior and top-quality service. Breakfast was a real highlight – delicious dishes with a generous mix of buffet and à la carte. We would return in a heartbeat – highly recommended!

  Recommended for any length of stay in beautiful Makarska!

  Absolutely cute and modern accommodation for a stay in Makarska! Me and my partner stayed there for 7 nights and was pleasant every single night. We stayed in the room with the sea view and was worth the extra £90pp for the view of the sea/harbour alone! The room was modern and contemporary with more than adequate facilities. Kettle and coffee machine supplied but the pods are supplied 2 at a time and they only make an espresso, which is very tasty being Lavazza pods and a Lavazza machine! Bathroom facilities are stunning with rituals toiletries provided free of charge every day and are replenished without issue by hotel housekeepers. The room was cleaned/made up every day upon request and housekeeping staff were polite. All hotel staff were polite I'd like to say they said hello every time we went into the hotel and were helpful and friendly as you would want. At the end of the 7 days there was a £18 tourist tax fee to pay but no other charges. But there is a mini fridge of alcohol and snacks available in the room for extra charges. Location of the room was really good also especially if you're looking for active night life, we wasn't but you can definitely hear the activities going into the early hours of the morning so be aware if you're a lover of an early night. Didn't bother us as we were aware of this due to other reviews! Overall I would definitely recommend Heritage Hotel Porin!

  NOISY AND RUDE

  Although the appearance may seem pleasant, what lies behind the Porin Hotel is definitely not a positive experience. This is mainly due to two reasons: 1) it is absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to sleep in almost every room because of the loud noise and incessant music in front of the hotel, where there are even multiple tables in a bar.This music even comes from loudspeakers hanging on the wall of the hotel itself, which therefore not only does nothing to prevent neighbouring activities from disturbing guests, but even allegedly allows them, for a fee, to install loudspeakers on the walls outside the rooms. 2) The absolute unprofessionalism and rudeness of the blonde receptionist, who tends to make fun of the customer, passing off absurd sound conditions as something normal in the city centre. (This writer has, however, been to several hotels in the centre without ever having found a similar condition). The woman answers several times to several customers who complain about the music at night, that no one forces them to stay there and that they can leave whenever they want, but she will not give discounts (never asked). She also treats these guests as criminals, forcing them to leave their ID at the entrance again after a few days, even fearing that they will “run away without paying”.On the other hand the male receptionist is cordial and helpful.3) The breakfast is completely meagre and inadequate with even some insects found in the food, against the most basic rules of hygiene.

  fantastic holiday in a superb hotel, modern and very clean, beautiful location, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable staff, nothing was a problem to them. Breakfast was continental with a couple of hot options, lots of choice and fresh bread daily. Excellent location in old town of Makarska, looking forward to going next year

  Sadly we were only able to stay one night at this fabulous hotel. It is right in the front with lovely views of the marina and at the back you are in the old part of the town. Lovely decor and amenities including bathrobes, water, and the usual tea (and black tea not herbal), and coffee facilities but most importantly a very comfortable bed in which to sleep. And a shower with strong water pressure Breakfast was buffet style but freshly made eggs to order. And Prosecco for breakfast. Champion. We were able to park our car directly opposite the hotel and use one of this daily €20 passes. We were advised on arrival that the bar behind the restaurant played loud music. We heard it very faintly when we came back to the room after dinner but it didn’t stop us sleeping or wake us up at all We were told
