    Not a 4 star hotel but nice location!

    We chose this hotel because of it's location and 4 start rating. We stayed in September and paid for large room with a balcony and sea view. The room was indeed very large and we got a seaview terrace however, there was a large concreted area with large metal railings at the end of the terrace which partially blocked the sea view. We would have been much happier with a balcony or something that actually had a good seaview for that price! If you are planning to book for the views then make sure it's not a terrace. Having said that we did have sunlounges which was nice to relax on after the beach. The decor in the room wasn't to our liking - it was dark red and a bit dated with some dirty walls. One bedside table lamp was missing. The bathroom was nice and modern, however part of the shower cubicle wasn't properly sealed so the water kept pouring onto the floor around the loo. Air conditioning can only be controlled from the from desk which is inconvenient and annoying. The bed was comfortable and clean. Plenty of wardrobe space. No iron which for 4 star hotel should have been there. Two very small bottles of water in the fridge.In terms of the facilities I would say it's not spectacular. The pool is ok. However the gym is laughable. Big empty room (hot) with one treadmill and old fashioned cross trainer. Small box with some light dumbbells and that's about it. No yoga mats, no water, no towels and no staff)). Breakfast was nothing to shout about - fairly average and same every single day. Again for a 4 star hotel very average. Staff was ok - a bit robotic. The beach was nice - great location if you want quiet clean beach with a few small food stalls and restaurants. Sunbeds are 25 euros for two people per day, but you don't have to use them - hotel supplies free beach towels you can use instead and there are some wooden sunshades already in place. There is a bus stop 5 min walk from the hotel and it runs roughly every half hour. Split is about 17-20 min ride. Overall I would rate this hotel 3 star as there is much room for improvement for the price we paid (which wasn't cheap). We loved the location but we would book elsewhere next time.

    Amazing view and rooms are exquisite

    Me and my boyfriend were upgraded to a better room and it was an amazing surprise. The room is big and has an extraordinary view to the sea. The only downside is that the air conditioning doesn’t work. Luckily it isn’t that hot. The hotel is directly at the beach and you can literally walk 10m from the hotel in to the water. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Breakfast is ok. It’s a small room with few chairs and few options, but I was satisfied. Fresh fruit and good coffee. I was a bit disappointed, that this hotel has no restaurant, nor a bar. There are also no good restaurants or bars near the hotel. We always have to take a bus to Split. Luckily there’s a bus stop only 5min away. The roof top terrace and pool are awesome!

    This was by far one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in. It was just beautiful. Beach hotel at its best. From day 1 to day 5 it was just lovely. Hotel is spotless. Rooms just magnificant Sea view balcony, air con, the biggest most comfy bed! Tea/coffee facilities. Bathroom was very modern. You could have a bath and or relax in a big separate shower if you wanted!The staff were ALL so polite and always happy to help. Got to mention the sea bar/restaurant. Just awesome. The young Waiter 'Dragon' ( yes his name) went above and beyond to make sure your time in the bar was perfect. The owner of the restaurant Ivan and his father were just such lovely people too. Hotel is 20 not 10 in my mind.Would recommend this hotel over and over again. Just perfect See you again next year.

    Great location, right on a lovely beach is the major highlight of this hotel. Waking up every morning to the wonderful view, or sitting on the balcony watching the sun go down over the islands was memorable. The positives of the hotel are:Decent sized roomsComfy bedsLarge bathrooms with good amenitiesGood breakfast selection - the coffee machine makes great coffee and the breakfast room staff are super friendly and attentive.Excellent location to get into Split, either by local bus or Uber.Areas that were not so good and definitely need improving:- Hotel lacks any sort of facilities - With no bar, nor restaurant there is absolutely no atmosphere in the hotel and you are forced to seek out places to go every evening.- Wifi is ok but doesn't reach all areas of the hotel. Needs to be boosted in every room.- €20 per day for parking is a rip off...though we did find a local parking lot @ 500mts away which was very cheap. - €25 per day for 2 sunbeds & and a parasol, also a rip off! There should be a discounted price for hotel guests. We stayed 9 nights and only used the sunbeds twice due to the high cost.- Air conditioning is very poor, it can only be controlled centrally by reception and the lowest temperature it can do down to is @ 20c/68f.This isn't low enough during the summer months. Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Split but it would get a higher rating if some of the above was implemented.

    Just fell short due to tepid water in bathroom. Stayed a couple of nights. Lovely room, balcony & gorgeous view. Bathroom had a bath & shower. Not able to use bath as water from tap at hottest was barely warm so it would have been a cold bath. Such a shame for a 4 star hotel to fall short in this way,Breakfast plenty of choice. Had a couple of dishes in Arena restaurant which were lovely. Location excellent Beach and cafe below under separate management. Friendly reception at both.
