    “Our positive impression of the hotel was ruined by a rude receptionist at check-out.”My husband and I stayed for one night (14–15 February 2026) at Hotel Štacija in Kaštel Lukšić. We chose a room with a double bed, balcony, and sea view — the room was tidy, pleasant, and exactly as shown on Booking, and the breakfast was truly excellent. I would especially like to praise the person who served us breakfast, as they were very kind and professional. We also paid for our stay immediately upon check-in.Unfortunately, our overall impression of the stay was seriously affected by an unpleasant experience at check-out. Upon arrival, we asked about the possibility of a late check-out because we knew we would be attending a family event that evening. We were told to contact another receptionist the next morning if we decided to stay longer. In the morning, however, we decided to leave within the standard check-out time (by 11 a.m.), but due to the à la carte breakfast service and a slightly longer wait, we didn’t realize how much time had passed.Around 11:30 a.m., the phone rang in our room — the receptionist spoke in a very sharp and unfriendly tone, pointing out that we should have already checked out. I apologized and explained the situation, but the conversation was quite unpleasant and lacked any understanding or professional courtesy. Later, I apologized again in person at the reception, yet there was still no attempt to ease the situation or show even minimal friendliness.We travel frequently and have stayed in many hotels, but we have never experienced such an approach over a 30-minute delay, especially in the off-season when the hotel was clearly not full. I believe guests should always be treated with respect, even when they make a mistake — particularly in tourism, where communication and overall impression are crucial.It’s a pity, because the hotel has great potential: a nice location, comfortable rooms, and a very good breakfast. However, the unfriendliness at reception completely overshadowed all the positives. Unfortunately, because of this experience, we do not plan to return.

    Great little hotel with super friendly staff. Perfectly positioned close to the airport but in the quiet little town of Kastela which is just a short taxi ride from the busy city of Split. The best of both worlds with a quiet beach, a few lovely walks, a good breakfast and only £15 in an uber to get to the main ferry ports in Split and visit Hvar, Brac and the other beautiful Islands without all the hustle and bustle of the big city. Felt safer for a single female traveller. Nice little sunset bar with few food options out of season and a couple of nice restaurants within walking distance. Quirky little rooms with all the basics and nice showers too 🙂

    I've recently been to this wonderful hotel unexpectedly, after a cancelled flight, and I couldn't have had a better experience even if I searched for a hotel myself. Located practically on the sea in a colorfull and very tranquill street it is a very beautiful and tastefully decorated accomodation. It is new, clean and modern space to enjoy without the hustle of a big town, near enough if you choose to visit it. Especially enjoyed the fantastic food & wine and the wonderfully accomodating staff.Absolutely recommended!

    We had a wonderful 2 week stay with a beautiful view of the sea. The staff is welcoming and very helpful. The food is absolutely delicious! We had breakfast every morning and it was a great way to start the day. It’s a short uber ride to Trojir. Split, and Klis Fortress. We walked into town several times for great dinners, gelato and shopping. We highly recommend Hotel Stacija for your stay!
